With the advent of online services , businesses need a reliable way to verify the customers they serve for trust and safety, compliance issues. NIMA ID helps businesses operating in the developing world to securely verify their customers.

Our initial target market are the 15 ECOWAS countries which forms a population of about 400M.

Our first target population is the first users of online services in Africa. Whether it is a person offering a service through a marketplace, for example a taxi driver on a platform such as Uber, a delivery person for a marketplace or simply a user of that marketplace. 

When it comes to trust and safety, it is important that market players can check who they are dealing with.

We rely primarily on the data we collect from users of our services to study how our product is used and use this feedback to continuously improve it.

Problem: Lack of digital ID that allows services in developing countries to to securely verify your customers

Solution: A digital ID platform that provide anyone with a phone number a digital ID that they can use to register and be verified.

Target population: Allowing citizens of ECOWAS countries to create a secure and easily verifiable a digital ID simply through their phone numbers while allowing businesses and services operating in those country to securely verify their customers.

To understand our approach and the innovation we bring to this space, we must first understand that Africa is a very diverse region, with multiple languages and cultures and a high illiteracy rate. To counter all these factors and build a meaningful product, we had to think of a solution that is easy to adopt and that everyone can use. Hence the idea of creating a secure digital identity card in addition to telephone numbers.

Our solution is a mixed of text recognition, facial recognition combined with geo-location to accurately create a digital ID for a user.

The first step is to set up a simple but powerful addressing system based on telephone numbers for places without an official address. West Africa suffers from a poor and non-existent addressing system. We cannot effectively talk about reliable identification without a reliable addressing system.

We have launched our NIMA Codes product in Senegal, Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire and have accumulated more than 100,000 users.

The next step is to enable these users to easily create a digital identification that they can use with 3rd parties services who in turns can easily verify they customers.

We help individuals easily create a reliable and secure ID and at the same time allowing businesses , government agencies, and humanitarian organizations to easily identify individuals simply by their phone numbers.

We can provide an API: Application Programming Interface or USSD feature that allows any system to leverage our offerings and build on top of it.

Lot of things change in the technology space a 5 year plan is guaranteed to be obsolete we do not have such plan.
