Retrain the Brain
In so many communities People only can get low-paying jobs or no job at all. If we could start a training program or a cohort that trains them in a skill needed with low potential of being laid off that would be great. We would also go over business wear, business casual wear resumes, LinkedIn profiles, cover letters, interviews, and of course the training. They will leave feeling like college graduates.
People are content with their life. They are cares that they will try school or get a job and let go and lose their government benefits. Other people are working so many jobs to make ends meet that they don't feel like they have the time.
My solution is to have a program or cohort on Canvass. We would do a weekly Zoom study group so that they have a chance to answer their questions and all staff can be reached by phone or email. If the pandemic ends we would consider doing this in person. Or hybrid of online and classroom.
My solution helps people who just aren't good in school and failed college or left because it wasn't for them. It assists the single mother or single father. The area is poverty-stricken and doesn't even have wifi. We would get wifi to them. Criminals that can't get a job. And Elderly people. And we would try to place immigrants with companies that will sponsor their work visa.
- Increase access to high-quality, affordable learning, skill-building, and training opportunities for those entering the workforce, transitioning between jobs, or facing unemployment
I feel now people personally need training a job placement. In some areas the basica of desktop or laptop skills are not known. And neither are some of the basic programs like Microsoft products. With my program, it would combine everything from business wear, business etiquette, and train on a skill to land a career with a rate of pay that can support them and their family. Hopefully, this will bring them up to a minimum of a social class.
- Alabama
The first step I would have to research the next State and find out where we are most needed. I'd the program works in Alabama I would continue to use the same business plan and add as I go.

- A new business model or process
There are plenty of job training programs. They are usually for 30 and under Or they are training programs for skills that don’t pay much. We are going to train or students from scratch and get them only places in companies that pay liveable wages with a low risk of layoffs.
We will use Canvas or a Canvas like a program, Slack, Zoom so we can communicate, an app so they can work on the go, Microsoft programs, I haven't decided if we will use Chromebook or Apple Products yet. We also need to bring the internet to areas that don't have it but qualify for the program.
All my technology works and is well known and has been used more in the Pandemic.
My program will get trained for employment in the technical field. A field that isn’t going anywhere any time soon

More people will be employed in 5 years. And it will have a huge impact in bringing down the unemployment rate.
I need more business training, funding, and staff that is already trained in many different areas.
I attend a webinar almost daily. I'm currently enrolled at Cornell University to get a Certificate of Entrepreneurship. I also began Herzing College in January to work on my Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship.
I'm applying to this program for funding.
I would hire someone to truly get the talent working for us.
Unemployment in Alabama and why
- Not registered as any organization
I am one generation away from poverty. I worked in customer service for over 20 years. The last job I went through Travel School and they hired me on full-time after I graduated as a Travel Agent. The Covid happened I was furloughed in March and Laid off in September. I knew then I would never allow myself to be in that position again.
Lorwtt Brown grew up in poverty. She went through abusive marriage and divorced her husband. She cleaned houses for $5/hr to take care of her family for 2 years and now has 2 associates. The first person in her family to get any degree.
Darcel Brown decided college wasn't for her halfway through her sophomore year. She wants a full-time job and had no problem working but knew $10/hr wasn't going to do it.
