Redefining Technology for Betterment

Today as the world is constantly evolving at a much faster rate than ever before due to the pandemic, our learning process should also change. Most of the students ,all round the world, still study for the heck of studying. WHY IS IT SO? Maybe they don't find the subjects interesting or maybe they don't like the way they are taught. As I am a student, I know that most often the answer to the question above mentioned is the latter one rather than the former one. I, through my solution, intend to change the learning experience of the students as I am myself fed up of this rote learning just for the heck of doing it and getting marks so that I can secure my future. No. I would like that through my solution, I could help others feel the enriching innate experience of learning.

Actually I am trying to solve a problem which is not that specific because the problem engulfs a large section of the society who are the learners and as we say learning has no age. Now as the people concerned with the problem are so large, the solution has to be unique enough to help such a vaste population with so may different people with unique choices and interests. So, as far as I think, the solution I'm posing for this specific problem is unique and helpful enough to be easily used by any person and retaining the same interest in the topic regardless of any factor differentiate one person from the other

My solution deals with using neural networks along with augmented reality to make learning skills more easy and effective. My solution will deal with making a device which consists of a leather belt walker/runner, an augmented reality set, pair of joysticks attached to two bars which are in turn attached to the leather belt walker, an EEG input(BCI) connected to a super amoled 4K Television with surround sound system.

Now when someone would want to learn any skill they would follow the following steps:

1. Turn on the TV and switch it to the AR module. Attach the joystick, AR set and the EEG module to it.

2. Step on the walker attached to the bars with fingerprint sensor for uniqueness purpose.

3. Wear the EEG module(BCI) and the AR set, put hands on the joystick and press start.

4. Now as module starts, can walk on the walker and feel like he is walking on the game and use the joystick to navigate here and there. 

5. The use of the EEG module(BCI) here is to sense the movement of his hands(like handling an equipment, etc.) and do the same in the AR module.

My solution is not directly involved with employment as such but it's surely linked to reimagining pathways to employment because earlier and even now kids are just fed with certain doses of various questions and answers which they carry with themselves without even understanding the gist of it ,score marks and get employed but such students can't sustain at places where you need to innovate new solutions because today innovation is sustenance. But through my solution, kids and anyone who wants to learn, can live and not just learn the lesson for better practical applications later on in their life. 

Only me as I am a high school student who just got an idea which I thought would help people so thought of giving it a shot.

Since I don't own an organisation now ,my approach towards building a diverse organisation, if I ever get a chance to form one, would be to include anyone on the basis of their approach towards life and its problems rather than caste, creed, colour, religion, gender etc because if I do discriminate people based on their superficial things then I am not at all working for the betterment of society however hard I try to make myself believe that.

The thing that makes my solution innovative is that I think I have incorporated basic devices for the betterment of a large group of people. Along with the AR and EEG module I have also incorporated a system where by if someone teaches you and you write notes in AR they automatically get saved in your Google drive or if you perform an experiment and you want know the colour ,you just dip your finger in the solution the AR world and the colour will get displayed on top of your screen on a whiteboard as if that's the student's personal innovation cum classroom space or if you want to know the smell of the solution you just go near the solution and smell in the AR world and the smell along with something that you can relate to would be displayed on top of your screen and much more which I can't write due to the unavailability of space.

Augmented Reality and Biomedical interfaces

It's in the ideation stage so without performing any tests or so I can't really tell if the sum of these technologies would work or not but the individuals components have ample evidence present that they do work and as I said i haven't used that much of a complex system while framing this idea.

I really think that my solution could have a serious positive impact on all those who seriously want to learn and want to reimagine their pathways into employment because if someone wants to strife in a competitive environment he/she has to think out of the box and the traditional education system confines us to the boundaries limiting our vision to our myopic thoughts rather than making us think for solutions through various perspectives. This is where my solution could make a really serious positive impact.

My goal, be it for the next five or ten years or for the entire life, is just the betterment and continuation of humanity through whatever little I can contribute.

The only barriers which currently exist for me is FUNDING. If i get the funding, else all is manageable because I don't think I'm using any equipment or concept which could cause any other potential barrier

Through getting funding or admission to a top research institute like MIT which is always geared for the betterment of people through research which readily matches my goal and dreams.

I am just an individual who tumbled upon this idea just now after tumbling upon this challenge which is I think due to the fact that I scored on the higher side on spontaneous creativity section in a creativity test.

The only thing which holds people back is them underestimating themselves and the only thing I have learnt since my childhood is that never underestimate yourself and when I don't do that my mind functions in a geared way just for finding solutions to common everyday problems people face.

Truly I don't think I really know about my business model because I think once someone really learned like you guys approve that my idea is worth helping people, these things follow as it is. As it is I am much devoted towards a plan which balances profit and duty giving duty more weightage. So when you say that my idea is worth completing my duty, I'll think about the profits then.

Why do I need to start things by myself when the mecca of research is already present there in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It would be really an honour if you could admit me into one of your programs so that I could research on this topic more and could start helping people who face difficulty in rote learning as fast as I can. 

I haven't raised any funds

I just have the basic idea and a sketch about how the setup would look so I don't really know about the exact funding amount or oppurtunities.

Don't know for certain but if my idea gets accepted I would surely seriously think about it.
