SmartScope is a next generation microscope powered by AI and machine learning, designed to improve healthcare system in remote areas.

Our pitch:

In India, more than 70% population is poorly connected with well-equipped laboratories for clinical diagnosis. Currently, in rural areas, clinical samples are collected at primary health care centres and sent to different geographical areas where resources and manpower are available. It’s a time consuming process and causes delay in follow-up treatment. Microscopic based diagnosis remained the biggest challenge, as it requires human expertise to investigate variety of clinical samples. We address this problem by developing an advanced digital microscope, called as SmartScope. SmartScope is world’s first portable-automated microscope integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). It’s a cost effective device, which can be used by clinicians with minimum training. It provides a platform to implement AI to automate microscopic based diagnosis. Further, it can be operated remotely using a cloud-platform; thus it connects experienced pathologists from different geography to rural primary healthcare centers to perform real-time diagnosis.
