Tele-volunteering platform&community
telemedicine, telehelp, volunteering, refugees, low-barrier, iot, free universal healthcare
We're Medics24, a Finnish eHealthcare platform and a virtual healthcare center. We've been worried about the refugees and decided to do something about it. Most of the medical professionals want to volunteer and help, yet leaving everything behind and traveling to the site is often too big of a barrier.
With telemedicine we take the distance away and with our platform we connect medical volunteers with refugees and other people in need. This way it's possible to massively increase the amount of medical volunteers. How many could we find from Europe or U.S. when volunteers can help from home?
We could allocate help rapidly into where it is at the given time needed; to refugees or to poor people lacking healthcare. We can also engage, educate and support the volunteers. It'd be a tribe of Telehelp superheroes many would proudly belong and even more would like to join.
With this simple solution we could provide free, volunteer-based healthcare for millions! We enable direct help from person to person. Medical pros truly want to do meaningful things.

Telemedicine and the platform (community) will have an essential role here, they enable giving and receiving help regardless of physical location. The true heroes and helpers are of the medical professionals who volunteer.
We can scale indefinitely, both the medical volunteering and the patient side. All this depends on what kind of partners we can find. If a well-known organisation would do the recruiting of volunteers and coordinating the help on the site(refugee camps, community centers, poor villages), the volumes can be super high.
Sadly, the demand side - the ones in need of free healthcare - will so no sign of decreasing. Just the opposite, the number of refugees will increase in the future and the only humanly and economically sustainable way to help these people is via volunteering.
We believe healthcare isn't just our privilege here in the wealthy countries, it's a basic right that everyone should have an access.
Within five years smart devices have become cheaper, AI will contribute into diagnoses and datanetworks cover the globe. This means that we can achieve free universal healthcare if we decide to pursue it. And if something, that's worth pursuing.
Well, the traction is sadly there. The number of people lacking healthcare is massive. Nevertheless, we'd need help from more well-known organisation in order to coordinate the help on-site and recruiting for volunteers.
As said, the technology is valid and viable. We currently produce healthcare services to municipal and private patients here in Finland.
We can scale indefinitely. Simple Facebook post brought us bunch of volunteers plus huge amounts of great feedback. Imagine if well-known organisation would do the communicating? That'd take care of the supply side.
Sadly the demand side - people lacking healthcare - shows no sign of decreasing, just the opposite. More refugees will come and the only humanly and economically sustainable way to provide healthcare for them is via volunteering.

We are running a virtual healthcare center with 60 medical professional and were accepted to provide municipal healthcare services as the only telemedicine focused healthcare provider here in Finland. We've loads of experience on telemedicine and eHealthcare.
We've no clear revenue model for the tele-volunteering platform. World's 1st telemedicine volunteering platform&community that comes with IoT-features is also an opportunity to profit longterm. - And to have some super serious impact! We enable direct help from person to person. Medical pros truly want to do meaningful things. I'm sure i.e. medical professionals are quite lucrative audience for subtle marketing. Nevertheless, the volunteer nor the one receiving help will never has to pay a thing. That's our condition.
Solve could make this thing happen. Together with Solve's network we'd have an actual chance of delivering free universal healthcare to millions or even more.
We need to be more prominent, we need some to coordinate the on site. We need some doing the recruitment of volunteers. We need networks and people thinking differently. We could create a grassroots tribe enabling help from person-to-person without any hierarchy nor bureaucracy.
