Basic Information
Our tagline:
World's most accessible coding education models to bring beginners of all ages into the tech industry.
Our pitch:
We organise two main activities - coding education for adults and for kids. We change the mindset that coding skills are for a small group of specialists or math geeks only. Our youth programmes target ages of 10-14 - the age when our idea of our university or career choices start to get formed.
Our most visible programme is the Coding Bootcamp Praha, which is a 12-week full-stack web development coding bootcamp in Prague, Czech Republic, which targets career changers and startup founders. The programme is the most affordable coding bootcamp in the world, which accepts beginners. We invented a model of quality and affordability. This allows us to bring into the tech world a group of people who are highly interested in the switch, however, could not afford the other market solutions. Thus, this group would stay out of the IT world.
The bootcamp has been organized since autumn 2016. Each batch features 12 weeks fulltime, 420 teaching hours, 5 hackathons, 1 Demo Day and 20+ career counselling group and individual workshops. The emphasis is on understanding the best practices, learning by doing, and solving real-world problems. The success rate of the graduates is 90%. The strengths of our programmes include industry-tested curriculums, high graduate placement, international environment and a holistic approach. We guarantee our students they find a job in our Job Guarantee Scheme. The bootcamp offers the students intense career counselling and an after-programme community.

About Your Solution
What makes our solution innovative:
There is a number of teach coding' initiatives around the world but the two main differentiators are the quality of their teaching model and price. Any teaching model can be evaluated based on 1)outcomes, 2) quality of instructors, 3) industry expectations. We are among the top coding bootcamps in the world when outcomes are evaluated. Our graduates tend to be sought after by HR before graduation.
As a non-profit organisation our goal is that coding bootcamps can be attended by participants of all income categories. The Tuition Fee we charge is 4-5 cheaper than any 'comparable' coding bootcamp in the world.

How technology is integral to our solution:
Our teaching is delivered through both offline fulltime classes as well as through our online platform, which we designed and developed ourselves to be easily scalable. The bootcamp empowers the students to transition into the software development mindset in three phases - The Coder, The Programmer and The Developer.
Thanks to our passionate instructors they learn how to create fullstack web application in JavaScript and PHP. We teach the students how to combine the frontend and backend technologies, from the basics of HTML and CSS through advanced frameworks and libraries, including React and Laravel.

Our solution goals over the next 12 months:
The programme is sought-after by start-up founders who create a MVP of their product during the Final Project. The bootcamp does not require from students any previous completed technical education, however, beginners are asked to complete on-line pre-bootcamp studies.
In terms of our your courses we focus on the general programming concepts and logical thinking, without going into any specific programming language. Our goal is that the young people learn by creating- through developing games in Scratch

Our revenue model:
The Coding Bootcamp Praha model has been established as an alternative option to gain comprehensive and practical programming skills in a short period of time. This solution has been designed to improve the skills gap in the market - by educating new IT workers ready to be employed.
The job market has reported a significant shortage of programmers for nearly a decade and the demand has been ever increasing. However, the general educational systems across the world typically do not offer any other option to get qualified for working in IT than studying at a university. For people who wish to change careers this implies investing time and finances (also in terms of opportunity costs) into 3-5 year-long studies. To help our students to decide to make the career change we implemented the Job Guarantee Scheme - We guarantee that they find a job or we refund their tuition.
Our students come from marketing, finance and law, fresh graduates, manual professions, assistants, teachers to business developers and startup founders. Many of the applicants feel that their current job soon gets redundant and that they lack the skill set to progress into jobs that are not threatened by technological innovations.

Partnership Potential
Why we are applying to Solve:
We strongly believe in sharing ideas, thus we think this initiative can help us get inspired by other organisations who pursue similar visions. In terms of the monetary price, our goal is to use this to start off further projects, which currently we do not have the capital for. However, we only invest into projects which are longterm, thus any one time off capital will only be spent for extra activities - to raise more awareness, kick off further activities. However, always with the goal of attracting more company partners who help ensure the long term sustainability of such activity.
The key barriers for our solution:
Our biggest risk is not selecting carefully our new team members, which potentially could lower the perceived quality of the brand.
Secondly, a similar risk can arise from an unsuitable partner cooperation with companies who are not equipped to hire junior programmers. However, at the current economic climate the second risk is rather theoretical. We are ready for this scenario and prepare our graduates holistically.
We identify a risk of the coding bootcamp name being 'destroyed' by for-profit coding bootcamps who have scaled at an uncontrollable rate resulting in a number of already recorded cases of unhappy students and failed programmes.
