Generation Wellness
Lyndsay Morris, M.Ed, RYT-200 is on a mission to equip students, staff, and families with the tools to thrive in school, work, and life. Lyndsay is the founder of Generation Wellness, an international speaker, and the creator of the first well-being app for schools. She has spent the last decade infusing fun, engaging social/emotional strategies and simple wellness practices into classrooms, companies, and communities around the world.
Covid-19 has drastically changed school, among many things. Stress, trauma, and declining attention spans impact teaching, learning, and reaching our fullest potential at school, work, and in life. The Generation Wellness online courses and resources provide simple tools for less stress and more connection during these unprecedented times. Our 3 Phase Approach includes:
1. Staff wellness: https://www.generationwellness.com/wwa (online course for staff)
2. School wellness/school reengagement: https://www.generationwellness.com/rrs (live virtual training for staff - repeated monthly)
Optional: Resource for staff: https://www.generationwellness.app/
3. Family wellness: https://www.generationwellness.com/fwt (online toolkit for students and parents)
5,000 staff members and thousands of families have accessed these resources during the Covid-19 pandemic, which has provided hope, connection, and simple tools for physical, emotional, and mental well-being. To date, 10,000 educators and 500,000 students have been empowered by Generation Wellness trainings, courses, and resources. We believe the way to world peace is through inner peace. These tools strengthen hearts, minds, and bodies.
The problem we are hoping to solve relate to coping with stress and trauma. Here are statistics that showcase the problem and how provide support: GW Research Doc.
Here is a recent testimonial that showcases the problem and solution:
This virtual PD is amazing, it is exactly what we need in our schools today. The training is well organized and has strategies that are easy to do and use right away. The current world is in a dark place and if we all were willing and able to look within and/or to teach children how to self- regulate when under pressure or stress, the way Generation Wellness teaches, connecting to learning would be more available. This training gives daily/moment supports that help students and staff reconnect with themselves so they engage in the teaching and learning.

- Elevating understanding of and between people through changing people’s attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors
Elevating issues and their projects by building awareness and driving action to solve the most difficult problems of our world. Generation Wellness aligns with the Elevate Prize because students, staff, and families are feeling increasingly powerless with teaching/learning/living through a global pandemic. We are providing support with resources, results, and hope.
Elevating understanding of and between people through changing people’s attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors.
We are scaling our resources to offer more wellness tools, training, and connection for students, staff, and families. These tools are changing attitudes, habits, and lives.
Lyndsay founded Generation Wellness in 2013, after almost a decade serving in public education as both a teacher and school counselor. While immersed in the education system, she noticed how stress/trauma was dramatically impacting the performance and well-being of students and staff. Generation Wellness was created to shift from focusing primarily on cognitive development and academics, to a whole-human approach of strengthening hearts, minds, and bodies. The goal is for participants to feel inspired and empowered with simple tools to thrive in school, work, and in life.
We live by the belief that anything is possible with enough determination. Our mission is to equip all students, staff, and families with the tools to thrive 2023. After all, when we change a classroom, we change a community and when we change many communities, we change the world.
I am passionate about this work because I'm a former teacher and school counselor. I believe long-lasting change starts with our schools. Strong hearts, minds, and bodies: We are the next generation of wellness.
We have been delivering world-class trainings for the past 7 years. 99% of participants report extreme satisfaction and we continuously see results. Schools are changing their practices and changing the world one classroom at a time.

March 7, 2020 was the last day I stepped into a venue filled with educators eager to connect and learn. This particular day, I was in Reno, NV with 100 school counselors packed into a casino excited to learn brain-based activities and interventions for K-12 students.
That night, as I stepped off the airplane, I found out that all of our live Generation Wellness events had been cancelled. 2020 was booked out solid and in one day... poof... gone. Shock, sadness, and confusion... now what?
Within a few days, it was clear.
Schools, districts, and organizations were calling with urgent needs and we listened. Within weeks, Workplace Wellness Academy was created, followed by the Family Wellness Toolkit, and then Relaunching Resilient Schools, was completed and launched by June 21st.
Looking back, I don't know how we were able to pull this off. Those months were filled with long nights writing scripts and filming, reviewing feedback, and pivoting! We knew people were hurting and desperately needed resources. We knew we could help them (we’d trained on this material around the world for the past 7 years) and we gave everything we had to get the resources out quickly.
Generation Wellness recently supported Tumwater School District when schools closed for the year. People were stressed and facing unknown territory. This required leading with listening, commitment to provide support, and constant check-ins and pivoting. Here is the article from Tumwater School District (note: Phase 3 is now virtual, not in-person) that provides an example of my leadership ability:
