In Tanzania there are over 2.5 Million small scale poultry farmers who are keeping free range chickens approximately (5 - 20) in number per household. These farmers are relying on poor traditional incubation practices, have limited species diversification, and have no access to affordable hatchery technology. The demand for chicks is growing from 300 – 500 per week per every 50 poultry keepers but the supply side has not been able to produce at maximum to address this growing demand. Through our egg incubators, the poultry farmers have better access to technology to increase their productivity.
- Continuing manufacturing egg incubators, the target is to reach a minimum of 200 units before the end of 2018
- Provide capacity building in poultry related skills to small scale poultry farmers
