We are TrackAm and we are a software as a solution business that is targeted at ensuring citizen safety. Our core strategy is based on collectivism - establishing a platform that employs and utilizes the joint effort of the larger community to help individuals in cases of emergency. How do we get this done? By creating a mobile app that converts the mobile phone to a security device. The app sends SOS signals to the user’s family and friends by the simple gesture of shaking their phones.
This SOS information which includes photos, voice notes, and locations of the user in distress can then be utilized and publicized by the receiver to source for quick action based on the information shared. This will ensure the lesser success rate of unfortunate events such as rape, kidnap, and also eliminate the possibility of “no evidence” cases.
In Nigeria today, there has been an increasing rate of insecurity, trending issues on rape cases, kidnap and police brutality, most without evidence. The worse part is, people in these regions know how unsafe it can be sometimes but have no money to protect themselves or their loved ones
In the western world, there has been trending issues of mass shooting, racism and protest against racism.
It's no news that there has been a recent rise in global chaos. it's very important in these times for families to look after their loved ones and be there for them in times of distress.
TrackAm is a citizen safety app that helps users look out for their loved ones more efficiently, provide evidence for justice and ensure a high level of safety for citizens
Our product is an iOS and Android app that seeks to decrease the amount of crime, kidnap cases, rape, theft, accidents and highly avoidable deaths. Our app contains an SOS feature that can be triggered by just a shake of the mobile phone, leaving perpetrators unaware of the fact that rescue is on the way.
The SOS feature, our product additionally encompasses curated security tips, up-to-date emergency helplines to help users and their loved ones assist members of the society in distress.
With the aim of reducing the level of insecurity in our community, we have built an app to help that could help provide needed information for heroes in our community to save lives more efficiently.
Our potential users include:
- Parents/Guardians
- Students
- Insurance companies
- Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO)
- Security agencies
- Transport companies
- Care homes
The above mentioned users, would require the app to more efficiently track locations, create geofence, check speed of vehicle and call for SOS.
- Elevating issues and their projects by building awareness and driving action to solve the most difficult problems of our world

In the western world, there has been trending issues of mass shooting, racism and protest against racism.
The world is faced with a lot of insecurity issues at present. Our product will elevate these issues to the public as more and more people are being saved, more witnesses created from rescuers as well as more evidence for justice.
By December 2019, we happened to find ourselves in the same space when we got information about an opportunity (NaijaHacks Hackathon, 2019). This information was brought to our notice by out present CTO and cofounder. We thought: hey, why not create that solution to help families, organizations and communities stay connected while ensuring safety for each other. It comes with a great sense of satisfaction knowing people who care about you enough to save you are provided with an essential tool to do so. These are a few thoughts that led to the birth of TrackAm. Our team of cofounders emerged as top winners for this event. After participation at AfricaHacks incubator and Hubspot ELEVATE accelerator program. Step by step, we built and finally, we have a working product that can help people save themselves.
Our solution is very important to us because we have had first-hand experiences and near misses in emergency situations. TrackAm is located in the heart of a nation, known for terrorism, and experiences a high rate of armed robbery, kidnap and police brutality. These are things we experience and always wanted to put an end to. Also, we discovered that our team had all it takes to combat this problem. Hence, our resolve to go all out with the solution. We have experience in digital marketing, as well as software and website development. Additionally, we have enough to give a unique branding with good graphic designers in our team.
Our company is made up of a team of 3 young co-founders who have mastered the art of team building.

On becoming the best citizen safety app, our company has grown to build a highly valuable product, gaining a wholesome 2000 users, four days into its first launch. Our growth process has been influenced by top incubators and accelerators where we emerged as top participants.
We had an were faced with the issue of reaching our target number of users on the first day of our pre-launch. we noticed this issue on time and organized a co-founders meeting where we strategized and used our resources collectively to get in touch with influencers who share the same pain point our product provides a solution to. We also created a small community from the already registered users to get what users exclusively need, we used information from that community to upgrade our product to suit our niche. With these actions, we were able to gain 2000 users within 4 days.
Our incubator program is a good example of my leadership as a COO. Organizing the team after a series of team management courses I took online, I discovered the importance of team building, spotting out differences, strengths and weaknesses. These made task delegation way more efficient and productive.

Our business model encompasses B2B and B2C.
For B2B, we produce our services to security companies, transport companies, insurance companies, grade schools, and other child institutions. Companies do bulk subscriptions and pay per year.
For B2C, users have the option to use only the free features and have a limited and reasonable number of SOS alerts they can send a month or pay for limitless SOS monthly and have more features like live tracking and live audio feedback.
We intend to make money via two major models. One is a B2B, the other is B2C. For the B2B, we intend to convince organizations such as insurance companies and transport companies to buy subscriptions for their users as value-added services to them. For the B2C, we intend to also sell subscriptions to premium users who intend to have extra premium features such as an allowance to add extra pre-loaded contacts (five, instead of the usual three), etc.
The potentials are huge especially from the B2B aspect as many organizations are to sign up and subscribe based on their number of users. They are also to renew their subscription every year.
$15000 USD
We believe we can gain more reach on winning the award and also gain more trust from our community and government. Our team would be able to continue with our free package which would take us through runway till revenue generation stage. We would provide the app to save lives especially to the poor and vulnerable. We would stand a better chance of having everyone on board to fast-track this initiative and bring our vision to reality.
