IDENTITY WITH PURPOSE AND VISION.

My name is Daphine Uwimana, born again Christian am 20 years from Uganda at Uganda Christian University. I am the founder of the Project Identity with Purpose and Vision. I am a  youth seeking to set an example for my community, nation and generation that you can achieve anything that  you set your mind to fearlessly and that age is not a determinant to be able to reach and acquire success or even accomplishments so that more youth who are the future generation rise up to identify their God given purposes, such that they are able to put their contribution forward to making the world a better place. The world is a puzzle and everyone holds a piece to it and we have the power to solve it completely. We make the world the world doesn't make us.

1. The vulnerability of the Mindsets, absence of knowledge about the power of Purpose and Vision is a major hindrance to development in our different society's. If indeed we are the full expression of our minds. If we elevated and treated our minds to greater heights we would and will be in greater positions.

2. The project reveals to people that Purpose creates Vision which creates goals, goals which permit the development of plans toward a desired end considering Purpose determines priorities, decisions companions and choices.   

3. Without Purpose life is subjective, if humanity knew that they have a unique contribution only they can give then every sector in life would be sorted and that would mean that everyone has value beyond replacement hence leading into collaboration and then issues like Gender inequality, would be no more. The MIND HAS NO GENDER or PREFERENCE, IT IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT.

We live in a society or generation where youth are trying to find identity, significance and purpose. In the quest to find answers, they have resorted to things like drugs, wrong and toxic relationships, prostitution, gambling etc. this has been mainly because we as youth especially from third world or developing countries have not been mentored or have had less knowledge on how to discover and live in our identity and purpose. Because of this, most have lived or not even lived their lives to their full potential and moving from one job, career and profession to another. Those that are able to finally discover their purpose and identity, find them a little later in life when not so much can be done or when so much time has been lost and wasted.

So, my project aims at empowering youth and young adults with the right mindset and self esteem to know their uniqueness by discovering their purpose and identity. I am driven by a strong belief that every one was created to strive but only through their purpose that starts with knowing and embracing your GOD given identity.

The project targets mindsets through speech expression, interactive modules and testimonials, simply informing people about the power within them that directs them to their purpose making them create visions which give them the power to become valuable beyond replacement. People all over the world especially the underprivileged have abilities, ideologies and untapped power they have not embraced.

This project goes ahead to provide platform for youth to connect and see how they have been able to discover their purposes and pursuing and how far they have achieved at their age. Awakening their minds to possibilities that can change their lives, possibilities within them that prove indeed they have a purpose for living and not just existing.

People perish for the lack for of Knowledge, this is knowledge. If people get to know that they can give their contribution to the world and solve a part on this puzzle then the reason why we have opportunities like these would be completely fulfilled because then people would be able to put forward their contributions.

It serves the students in school, the youth at large, this is because they are the future. Being a youth ably puts me in a position where i can ably relate to the different trials and situations we face be it as student or as a youth because the needs are relatively the same.

Take for example most youth are relatively facing the need to be significant to be able to fit in, FIND SOMETHING THAT THEY ARE REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT AND ACTUALLY HAVING PLATFORM TO DO IT WITHOUT FACING THE ISSUE OF inequality, gender marginalization, amongst other things.

My project gives platform of various opportunities no matter the sector so that youth can come to the projects page and discover opportunities that like these such that they can be able to execute their visions through the goals that they have.

We will be able to provide a questionnaire with a series of questions that will be able to be used to determine where their passion lies with guidance from different qualified personnel that we will be working with to be able to guide them on the different self discovery purpose journeys they will have embarked on.

This project is basically to provide transformation through mindset elevation and knowledge acquisition about Purpose and vision which will definitely make people look at life in a different way, change how they look at things that for example we were not only created to go to work and come back watch our kids grow but that there is more to life than that.

The idea for the project began with me during a certain season of my life when i was in quest for purpose and identity. I felt deep in my heart that there must be something else to life than what meets the idea. So, i started to search for answers through meeting some people who later became mentors and reading self help books, i came to a conclusion that the best life and most safe life to live was a life of purpose. This was confirmed when i observed fellow youth who were going through what i had been through and it was pretty clear that the difference between them and myself was what i had learned even if i hadn't matured in it or even discovered my purpose but it was a start and it changed my life.

After experiencing the beauty and satisfaction of even just going after your purpose, i started to get a burden on my heart to share this truth with every young youth out there that might be where i used to be. i started with those closest to me but now the challenge was those i couldn't meet physically or reach.

I am passionate about my project because it will change lives of those who are to benefit from it and give everyone a chance to live the best life they are meant to. This will in turn change families, societies and the world at large.

Secondly, i don't take it for granted that am even able to apply to this cause because they are people who are not able to. We are all born into this world not knowing what to expect but are taught about life the hard way. I watch kids and youth eating out of trash cans and yet that child could be the doctor to discover the cure for HIV OR the youth seeking to fit in could be the next big inventor but is high on drugs because he can’t seem to know what he was born to do and yet all it takes is to be pointed in the right direction.

This is one of the few reasons i do what i do.

Personally, i am under mentor-ship of great people and this has transformed my life. I am also passionate and skilled in disseminating knowledge and facilitating a group of people towards a specific goal. This is backed by a strong and pure zeal for continuous growth which i do through studying and consulting more.

I also possess great leadership and people management skills that are a great tool for my project.

I intend to assemble a team of skilled, passionate and committed members to help with the project. 

I have had an opportunity to do the same with close friends at different stages of life. Yes, it is never an easy run but with love, prayer, patience and commitment, I have managed to record 80% success with 20% covering mostly those that needed more time and resources in able to reach them but i have never given up and still try to reach out.

I have also done my best to connect those i can’t help to people that can help them, sometimes it means getting to them, investing my own resources but never compared to seeing a person changed and a better world.

lastly, the ability to know that am working with different people and to have the expectation that of course different attitudes will suffice has always gotten me ready for anyone that i meet. Its an adaptability flexible survival skill i believe every leader must have to establish a favorable environment towards a desired end.

Am the newly selected Campus director of my University, through the Millennial Fellowship Organization. Aside from that i have headed a few groups of friends where we have been able to improve organization and relation skills with one another and other team building skills.

One thing that is for sure out of every leadership opportunity that i may have gotten the few skills and traits i kept by me were Empathy, Humility and being inclusive but above all Selflessness.
