BBF foundation

Godwin Kanyo is my name. I am the Cofounder of Bibiaa B3y3 Fine (BBF) foundation.

BBF started as a motivational clique. We used to dash out stickers and T-shirts back at high school to preach hope for posterity.

Now it is  a foundation with four clubs. Innovators club(brainstorm and invent solutions to societal problems) , Health club ( campaign a contemporary mode of cooking delicious delicacies without a single drop of oil to avert related diseases like obesity, cancer,high cholesterol and heart problems ),  Philanthropy club ( engage in donations and community activities. We recently executed a project dubbed "street philanthropy" , we donated to street beggars and disabled, as most organization give to orphanages to the neglect of the street beggars.

BBF foundation has a lots of projects it embarks on.  For the purpose of MIT solve we want to present the Moyan's Virus killer.

 We have other inventions  like powerplant incubator and Weeding Hoverboard. 

 We believe  this project would salvage the world from this COVID-19.  This device enables one to sterilize  his hands without any contact.

The Moyan's Virus killer is going to curb the spread of the contagion. This device would drastically reduce this contagion and possibly rid the world of COVID-19.

 This Moyan Virus killer  seeks  be an efficient way to combat this global canker

The Moyan's Virus Killer  we believe would be an effective way to dwindle cases in COVID-19.

 The machine enables one to sterilize his hands without contact.

All you do is to stand on a foot pedal and the lid flips open. You insert your hands to antiseptic-like fluid with radiations to kill any microbes present on your hands. The Backup is ,you touch nothing hence if there is failure to kill the virus, it does not become the source of spread for the contagion.

COVID-19 has have unprecedented repercussions. This contagion is a global threat.

Countries have taken extreme measures to contain this virus but have proved futile.

We believe we have the remedy to exterminate this global pandemic.

Veronica buckets and liquid soaps provided at vantage points and mandatory washing of hands and face mask before entry are all good initiatives .But the problem is it requires touch and hence an infected person may contaminate it and the safety instruments rather become a source of spread for the contagion.

 The Moyan Virus killer if patronized would have impact globally. 

 Due to the appearance, we have be shunned by authorities . But the function supersedes the appearance. 

Our finances delays our effort to perfect the prototype .

We wish to make mass production and distribute it to the public. Better still give it out at subsidized prices.

Our main aim is to make the world devoid of  the contagion.

There are  clubs under umbrella of BBF foundation . We make an impact regardless our status.

Innovators club-brainstorm,research and apply science to come out with inventions.

Health club-  partner with GBHealth solutions to do free health presentation to show how families can cook delicious food without fats and oils to forestall related diseases like obesity ,high cholesterol, heart problems ,diabetes, cancer and stroke.

Philanthropy club - engage in donations and assisting people gain employment. Recently embarked on  project dubbed street philanthropy.

  The Moyan's Virus killer would elevate humanity into new age where we are ready to combat infectious diseases.

The creation of innovators club  enabled us to come out with the inventions. This is practically what we do. We discuss problems and research into it . We then invent .

Moyan's Virus killer was created by Eugene Moyan . He was the mastermind. We discussed how to help curb the  COVID-19. We gave suggestions. We credit the invention to him as he painstakingly did most of the research and built the device. 

I supported him in terms of finance.

Money is necessary to run the foundation but  passion drives  BBF foundation forward.

The various clubs  ensure we assist in diverse fields. We don't want to be just a nagging activists but initiative foundation.

 The BBF foundation started as motivational clique which sell stickers and shirts with the logo  to preach hope for posterity. Bibiaa B3y3 Fine (BBF) means everything will be fine. It was named so,due to personal experience in high school. 

I started the innovators club because was brilliant and  contributed in class often. Once I hurriedly asked a friend for calculator so as to solve a math question asap, he asked where mine was and replied ,it was damaged. He said jovially that with all my brilliance I can't fix a calculator. Though I knew he didn't mean it, it got to me. I realized our education system makes us educated illiterate. We obtain nothing much from the tuition but just good grades and literacy. I felt there is more to achieve from education as other great nations do. 

I begun my scout for geniuses and members of robotics club from various high schools to practicalize knowledge to solve global problems. Now  we have about four inventions

I feel this is the optimum moment to join in a competition as mega as MIT solve competition. 

  I confess that our prototypes may not be elegant but if you see beyond the appearance and consider the function ,it deserves a push. 

I have a knack of public speaking and doubt it will be a mojor problem to deliver the project . Already, English is the main language in Ghana so communication in English is rest assured. Though nervousness and tension maybe emotions I might express yet I feel I am well-positioned to deliver this project

Adversity with finances is the more reason Bibiaa B3y3 Fine (BBF) was created . It was meant to encourage others and also get some source of income at High school. 

We sold stickers and T-shirts to accrue some income to support ourselves, we had the faith that Everything will be fine. Despite my inability to further to tertiary education after completion in  2018 . It gave me more time to advance the BBF into a foundation.

  BBF foundation advanced into helping people in same financial crisis(philanthropy club). We again realized to help humanity significantly, health must be a priority (Health club). The zeal to change the phase of education led us to scout and support geniuses and inventors(innovators club).

  We decided  pay monthly dues of ghc10( $1.8)  . This amount will enable the foundation execute it targeted plans. The problem is most members do not pay. Most times I use my salary as a teacher, to execute  initiatives. I would give some money to the team to buy materials needed. Due to insufficient funds we mostly use boxes .

     Most members are teenagers and students hence serves as apparently a reason and excuse not to pay the agreed monthly dues.  

At high school, I was the leader of an academic group called team 8A's .  The group was meant to enable help fellow colleagues to discern topics they previously had problem with. The aim was to enable them ace the final exam WASSCE. Mostly they were boys and some were quite rowdy. To ensure the objectives are achieved I handled them in such a way Teaching goes on smoothly.

My friend and I created BBF and from scratch we have grown to a foundation of 25 members.

I have an affinity for leadership roles. I wanted to be a studies prefect at High school but due to being a day student ,I was ineligible. I was a school prefect in junior high school though.

most foundations are only into philanthropy . They mostly campaign for or against something.

 We are not just nagging activists, we ensure  in our way ,make an impact rather than complain . We brainstorm global problems and ascertain ways to solve them.

The innovators club specifically encourages practical education which is unique in Africa specifically Ghana. Our long term goal is to own a school of practical education and engineering to train human resources to be innovators, inventors and entrepreneurs.

We wish impact every field as much as possible. Our theory of change would be to refute the idea that Africa is the richest continent in natural resources but poorest continent.

This notion about Africa is an insult to the human resource of the continent. The sad thing is ,it reputation is a blatant truth. We aim to wipe off that idea and prove that Africa have geniuses ,inventors and great leaders just like other great nations.

 For the health aspect,  we hope to eradicate most noncommunicable disease with modern technology of cooking.

 Though our coffers are minimal to eradicate poverty, we doing our part to reduce beggars on street and poverty.

Our impact would be global. For now due to inadequate finance and support our impact seem trivial and frantically working to change that. For now all we have is a prototype we keep experimenting and modifying to be perfect. It is done though, just hoping to make it more elegant.

 In a year with your help it would be worldwide and the next five years to come our impact would be everywhere and consistent.

I believe the MIT elevate prize  would skyrocket our project to be phenomenal. All we yearn for is attention and faith in our projects by benefactors.

 Already we have five inventions to our credit and with your assistance we could get resources , advanced skills and more brainpower to churn out mindblowing inventions. Most members of the foundation (particularly innovators club)   are in high school yet see the innovation we have churned out, you concur promise for posterity.

 We yearn to advance the age of technology in Africa and know this program is the booster to attain the goals.

Attention and finance are the hurdles. The main aim is to get funds and acknowledgemnt.

I believe if fame is attached to the job or project  ,it makes it a big deal . Inventors ought to be celebrated just like footballers and musicians because the tend to change the world hence deserve attention. These are the goals yet finance makes all our plans theories. Again some projects are not able to be executed due to low funds. We settle for inelegant materials and this make people have perspective of work being silly or trivial.

The fact that most members are students and I work as teacher but not professionally (as I am only a high school graduate) with meagre salary. It makes it difficult to execute all plans set by the foundation.

I believe the fastrack way to overcome these barriers is external support. It has been passion that has sustained this foundation till date as monthly dues are not even being paid. 

Now the only organization we partner  with is GB health solutions to campaign the modern mode of cooking. We take advantage of the free health presentation to  serve the  purpose  of the foundation.

Personally , I am consultant for GB health solutions and together with other members of BBF foundation, campaign, advertise and promote the remedy. We engage in cookshows and health surveys to reach to as many people as possible.

We sure have business model.  The inventions we churn out are something the world just want but need. The prototype is all we are  left with due to low budget but I know if you get appreciate what the inventions could do you will support us to make mass production and that when we will commercialize it earn profit. For now ,we big on the impact and finance to make more of the Moyan Virus Killer  and Powerplant incubator especially. 

If these inventions are supported each would become a fully fledged company. This would mean sustainable income from several places.

 We believe there would be high demand for our innovations and projects thus promise financial sustainability in the future 

We sure need external help to perfect the prototypes and make mass production for global usage. That would mean huge capital but I believe the return would be immense as well. The inventions are a need not just a want hence demand would be high. 

 We yearn to make gross impact and believe would be enough to raise funds tantamount to the cash prize would be more than enough to carry out projects in the pipeline.

Being mostly teenagers and students , our coffers dwindles our efforts. Hence our finances are minimal.

Our expenses are minimal thus we spend not more than $200.

The elevate prize is the very thing we need. There is little or none of such programs in Africa to support innovations. Being aware of such an opportunity was great news to me. As you provide the essential support we crave for even beyond finance. 

   Our inventions would have  great impact to world if attention is given to it. Thus feel like this is the opportunity to enable us actualize our vision. 

We are optimistic BBF would be a worldwide sensation thus need expertise in marketing, media and exposure ,legal and regulatory matters, talent recruitment and  funding and revenue model.

For now , we partner we GB health solutions to save as many lives as possible.

 We hope to partner with any organization with similar goals as ours for the greater good.
