Our team is committed to solving and slowing down the spread of COVID-19 and other airborne diseases that could create a global health pandemic. Our solution is to provide indoor and outdoor multifunctional sanitation kiosk in public areas for public use.
Having these remote sanitation stations will allow more readiness for the next global pandemic. Prevention is the key to a healthy human population.
Our project elevates humanity in a number of ways: providing more jobs for gig economy workers, being a convenient source of protection from disease when people forget their mask and/or gloves at home, and connecting more business directly to their consumers with advertising at the street level.
nThe problem within the current COVID-19 challenge is the mindset of the people willing to risk their lives for a good time socially. Economically, companies need people to interact and socialize to maintain revenue growth, however, both the entertainment and public service industries have yet to find a proper solution for the masses.
COVID-19 is a global health challenge, which has changed the landscape for all social activities, so our multiuse sanitation station solution can be implemented across every continent in public spaces. There have been 8.2+ people worldwide to contract the virus from November 2019 to current.
The spread of COVID-19 was a lack of readiness by institutions and governments worldwide. Our goal is to be the largest secondary distributor of health items globally, but having a presence locally with our stations.
Additionally, our product would keep gig workers working during a global pandemic; and keep the public in a reminded state of thinking about good hygiene.
YIKES! is a multi-use indoor/outdoor sanitation station for humans of all ages. At one of the solar powered YIKES! Sanitation Station kiosk, you will find the following functionalities:
- Free Automatic Hand Sanitizer
- Digital Vending Machine (For Purchase through mobile application)
- Mobile phone cleaning/charging station
- A recycle bin
- Digital tv screen for Advertising and Emergency Notifications
- Wifi Hot Spot
The YIKES! mobile application allows gig economy workers to service the sanitation kiosk on a daily bases. Their jobs will be to refill the inventory of health consumables (gloves, mask, and hand warmers) and to maintain the cleanliness of the kiosk. At current, we are looking to bring both the mobile app and physical sanitation station kiosk concept to a testing prototype.
The purpose of this creation is to be a public reminder for communities worldwide to keep up a positive hygiene in public spaces.
Our product serves both institutions and the consumers that patronize their establishments. The lives our solution plans to impact are the lives of individuals who enjoy social activities and everyday life activities such as: dog walkers, shopping, attending public and private schools, and social events of all types.
In understanding their needs, our team is conducting surveys and researching the current state of emergency everyday as it relates to COVID-19. Some of the surveys are being completed in person a local dog parks and shopping areas throughout South Florida.
The project addresses the needs of the consumer to stay protected using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while in public areas.
Our solutions helps businesses/institutions with advertising on the sanitation stations, and being a direct solution for their customers who may have forgotten their PPE at home or in the car.
- Elevating issues and their projects by building awareness and driving action to solve the most difficult problems of our world
Similar to the mission of The Elevate Prize, our goal is to uplift the world communities at large with healthy and safe option for interaction at the business level and at the consumer level.
Like Elevate's founder Mr. Deitch, our founder Mr. Yonnick Jones does not lack ideas and human resource in order to get the job done in this interconnected business landscape. Just as important as the solution of these sanitation kiosk are for mankind, its leadership is equally as important for the healthy and diverse outlook of humanity.
The second week into lockdown due to COVID-19, I was doing my regular daily activity of walking my dog around the block. At the time, my dog "Sam" used the bathroom on the grass as he usually does, and I went to pick it up with the doggy bags. However, this time his poop was more in a liquid form than a solid. At that time, I wish I had gloves as well as the poop doggy bag to collect the fecal matter in order to protect my hand from the mess.
It was on the rest of my walk, when I realized there is a need to have sanitation stations at the street level for all members of the community. This regular daily activity compounded with COVID-19 means more germs are being spread rapidly.
From there, I arrived back in my apartment and began sketching what an outdoor sanitation stationary kiosk would look like and its functionalities.
I have long yearned for entrepreneurship and since completing my MBA in 2013 at the University of Bologna in Italy, I took action in 2015 to live out my dreams in helping others with my entrepreneurial activities. I have always been a creative solution thinker and this project is just the tip of the iceberg for the continued ideas that penetrate my mind.
I'm passionate about this project because of my worldly experiences (i.e. studying internationally, playing sports internationally, and doing business internationally). We all love to socialize, travel, congregate, and interact its just a matter of doing it safely and protecting each other now when interacting.
My passion is business. The basic concepts of business remain standard when creating solutions to help humanity all while gaining a profit as well. Successful implementation is the driving force to more passionate solution based projects.
I look forward to supporting communities worldwide with a solution that will impact the way we interact at school, work, sporting events, concerts, and everyday life activities.

This project is currently under review of the Miami-Dade Beacon Council, which plans to introduce this project and Mr. Jones to institutional investors upon the patent pending status of the equipment.
The current difficult situation with this project is having the monetary resources to create a prototype and to manufacture the equipment at a mass level. In having a global vision for this project, the main goal has been to create a prototype initially to have a proof of concept.
The challenge is raising the initial funding in a timely manner to make an impact at every level for the potential client base we plan to target. I have over come this situation, by having my first seed funding round last week and now have 6 potential investors ready to invest in the initial prototype for equity.
In college, I studied abroad in Paris, France. At the time, I did not speak French. I was only scheduled to be in Paris for the first semester and to return back to my home school after the new year. After the second month of being in Paris, I was asked to tryout for the Men's Basketball Team at American Business School- Paris, where I made the team and became the starting point guard for the team. We were undefeated, but still had the second half of the season to play after the new year.
Scheduled to return back to Atlanta to finish my college academic career and to become a member of a fraternity. Prior to returning, the Dean offered a full academic and athletic scholarship to me for the remainder of the year to stay in Paris and help win championship for Men's Basketball in Paris. With honor, I accepted the opportunity and turned down the popular return of me joining a fraternity with friendships I developed over the past 3 years.
In making that decision to stay in Paris, I was celebrated at both institutions as a leader who choose a unique path to graduation.
- For-profit, including B-Corp or similar models
The multifunctionality of the sanitation station is what makes our project very unique and innovative. This is a disruptive project, because it tackles so many challenges with the current pandemic. Additionally, our mobile application will be a data driven tool that will help with expansion into other very lucrative businesses like ride sharing, food delivery, and manufacturing of other useful items laptops and mobile phones.
Hygiene for humanity is the key to staying alive. Our project will be a constant reminder to people in public areas to stay clean when in public and interacting with one another. Change you can see is change you can believe.
Many people do not believe in the pandemic, simply because we do not have enough precautionary measure at the street level that reminds consumers and communities that healthy living is the only way to stay alive.

Currently we are not serving any communities as this is a start-up project. In the next year we plan to impact at least one million people. In five years we plan to impact 30 million plus people around the world.
Our project will be hiring gig economy workers worldwide. We plant to make a major impact in getting healthy well paid jobs to individuals who may not have a current skill.
