Kehinde Oyerinde is a graduate of Accounting, a researcher, a problem-solver who is passionate about helping the poorest Nigerians. She cares so much for helpless citizens who find it too difficult to provide food for themselves due to poverty. Kehinde's philosophy is "if I can give little from this small resources I have we will both survive hunger". She is a business woman, a foodie, an innovator, who produces nutrients rich foods and drinks which she enjoys with her family. Kehinde Oyerinde lives in Lagos Nigeria.
Providing food for the poorest Nigerians that find it very difficult to provide food for themselves due to no stable sources of income.
To contribute to reducing hunger among the poorest Nigerians thereby help in reducing death caused by hunger among the poorest Nigerians.
To give hope to the hopeless Nigerians that help can come from other citizens in order to meet their most daily needs by getting food to fill their empty stomachs.
Reducing hunger among poorest Nigerians that lives below the poverty level and as such find it too difficult to provide food for their empty stomachs in many cases. Though, this problem is very common among the less privileged citizens that are experiencing poverty because of the hardship they encounter in the course of getting money to sustain their families daily.
Majority of the Lagos State residents are experiencing hunger because of no stable sources of income. Some are educated but find it difficult to get job because of high unemployment rate, many graduates are underemployed. But some of these people are not educated and only get money to support themselves through their daily trading activities which they carry out under the sun in a make-a-shift stall popularly beside busy roads in many areas in Lagos State.
My project is providing food for the poorest Nigerians in order to reduce untimely death caused by hunger among the poorest Nigerians.
The poorest Nigerians that resides in Lagos and Ogun state are those this project are majorly considering. We have able to meet with some people in Epe, Ibeju, Ayobo, Okokomaiko, Ajangbadi, Sapati towns in Lagos State with some people in Itele town in Ogun State for the very first time.
Making them understand that as individuals financing this project solely comes from one person. Therefore, will are able to give little out of the small we have so that we will both survive hunger.
The few people we met at Epe and Ibeju were overwhelmed with amazement because they understood how much we care for other citizens who were like us, by traveling that far to the far end of the state to show love and care to the most neglected citizens.
- Elevating issues and their projects by building awareness and driving action to solve the most difficult problems of our world
Honestly, my childhood experience with hunger gave me full and in depth understanding about hunger, how it affects children most especially and how I can assist those living below poverty level. I was 9 years old when I first experienced hunger.
Although, I have a very caring mother that always provide food for me and my siblings daily despite her great financial problem. I remember quite well that she would give us food and not eat with us most times instead she will be singing from the hymn book right in our presence, this made her to became very thin during that time that people mockingly called her old woman. In fact, many times when there was no means, we would go to school without breakfast.
But, one day, two school children begged me to give them money for breakfast because they were hungry. Really, my experience with hunger and my mom's pictures which she intentionally kept for us to know what she passed through while struggling with poverty reminded me that I needed to do my part in helping those I am financially capable to help so that we will both survive hunger the main killing weapon of poverty.
I am so passionate about this project because of my personal experience with hunger and what hunger turned my dear mom to then, in the past.
According to the pictures she took during that time which she intentionally kept for us for future evidence as reminder of her painful experience with poverty when she was raising me and my siblings all alone.
My personal experience with hunger, my mom's experience with poverty, words of advice from my dear mom on how to give to people in such terrible situation so that they too could get out of it as we did.
Again, the skills and knowledge I acquired from volunteering for these organizations:
Business Impact Limited
My Doubledouble Conference
Lagos State Schools Athletics
Recycle Articreate
Hissplendour Designs Company
Oke-Itunu
And what the Bible says about caring for other people, all these emotionally and systematically equipped me on how to touch lives with little from the small resources I have.
Financing is what constitutes problem because this project is financed by me as the founder of Floresim Foundation, from my small resources. Nevertheless, it really does not discouraged me from doing that which I have passion to do.
We still went to Itele town in Ogun State and in order to reduce high transportation cost according to people in the area, we went through their very dangerous locally made bridge in a group of two people few months ago for the good work.
Our visitation to Epe and Ibeju towns in Lagos island was what really amazed me. It was my first time experience in that far end of Lagos State. I have the opportunity to speak to few people there and distributed food to these few people. Over there we met a man who took us to most remote areas in ibeju town where we needed to walk carefully on the roads because of bad roads filled with water.
I supervised and coordinated for Hissplendour Designs Company many times on prompt delivery of their products whenever they have much work at hand and I am in charge of OkeItunu information dissemination with letters dispatching.

To contribute substantially to the economic development of the country by reducing mortality rates which results from hunger among the poorest Nigerians.
To give hope to the hopeless Nigerians by providing food for them so as to sustain them.
Financing is what is greatly causing barrier now
