App based parcel delivery

Parcel tracking and delivery Management system using mobile app/website

Parcel/package transport is becoming challenging day by day not only for E commerce Company but also general people are also facing challenges to send parcel , as because standard courier service company is not available in the market with cost effective solution. Our target is to provide online and app based support where general people with existing setup will be involved for carrying and storing parcel.

Four types of Users will be involved:

• Parcel sender 
• Parcel Receiver
• Agent Shop – Existing road side shop (any type, for example general store, book store, small grocery shop, restaurant)
• Runner – any general people who can carry parcel on the way travelling to his own destination.

How it works:

Step 1:Sender will login into website or through Mobile App. Search the receiver in in the system. If the receiver does not have any account then sender will input receiver’s name, address which will be considered as parcel destination address and necessary information. Then system will show the calculated charge based on some pre defined parameter. Then sender will print the unique parcel code including barcode and paste on the parcel. If sender wants pick up from home then runner will pickup from his home. 2nd option Sender is to handover the parcel to his nearest Agent shop which might be 100 meters away from his home.

 Step 2

Once sender come to an agent shop with his parcel, Agent shop user will use mobile app to just scan the barcode on the package Agent shop will just keep the parcel in a safe place at his shop.

Step 3

Runner’s responsibility is to pick up the parcel from agent shop and deliver the parcel to an agent shop near the destination address or to an agent shop in between the sender and receiver address.

Scenario: Assume Runner name is Mr. X. Mr X open the app in his mobile phone while going to office. He will set his start point and destination point in mobile app map (embaded google map). If any parcel matches source and destination location of runner then agent shop and parcel information will be shown on the app of Mr. X. he will just go to the agent shop near his home (may be 100-200 meters away from his home). Mr. X will just drop the package/parcel at a agent shop at location B. Agent shop owner at Location B will receive the package through his mobile app.

Multiple runners and multiple shop agents can be involved for carrying the parcel to destination.

Step 4:

Once parcel/Package is reached at nearest agent shop of receiver’s location then SMS/email/app notification will be sent to receiver to collect the package from agent shop. Receiver will use his app to navigate to the agent shop or runners location near him and collect the package.

Parcel charge will be distributed to the digital wallet of the agent shop and runner based on pre defined criteria.

This is a process of solving the parcel delivery challenges (Cost, Time & Tracking) in developing countries. 

It also help general people to earn money by carrying a parcel from one place to another on the way of his home/office/desired destination.

This solution will save the parcel delivery cost and delivery time for developed country.

our solution is totally based on website, web platform, Mobile application which will help to track the parcel. Internet and GPS will be required for the solution.

Implement it in Bangladesh to solve online customer order delivery problem in the country. 

Help general people on parcel delivery with low cost and short time to their friends and relatives.

Help an organization to send any documents or parcel to its another branch with short time and low cost.

If the process works fine within Bangladesh. This solution can be implemented in other developing countries in Asia & Africa. 

It will also solve the challenges of online order and parcel delivery of developed country and can be used by big company like Amazon.
