HETAVED DIGITO EDU-PRENEURSHIP ACADEMY AND HUB

A  digital education concept to bridge the digital skills gap needed for new skills, new works and new income .

Today, the problem of mass illiteracy especially of digital skills in entrepreneurship education as common among the developing nations of the world has lead to the increased in poverty, hunger and social injustices and violent extremisms. Thus, there is a need for new approach to digital education for new skills, new work and new means of income.

 Thus, to solve this problem, the HETAVED SKILLS DIGITO EDU-PRENEURSHIP Hub, which is run on Tuition Free and a  Learning- Working and – Earning concept, as a novel approach to bridging the gap towards providing  new access to education by all.

This concept has the following advantages of providing quality education to all people especially the active but idle youths and women around the Niger Delta region restive communities as well as equipping the citizens with skills to overcome poverty, hunger and unemployment with social injustices. Hence, the implementation of this concept is capable of changing and empowering the people toward a peaceful and resilient societies for a  changed world.

HETAVED DIGITO EDU-PRENEURSHIP HUB, is an innovative approach to digital entrepreneurship education programs. It is totally different from the ordinary computer  training offered in most schools in Nigeria and Africa. Entrepreneurship aspect of ICT through digital SKILLS Training  running on a TUITION FREE ,  Learning- Working and -Earning educational model that is very attractive to all classes of people and most especially the youths and women. It is also a unique way of inculcating digital knowledge and making education accessible, affordable and attractive to all for a digital works revolution as entrepreneurs .

The use of Digital technology- tools and skills is an integral part of this HETAVED DIGITO EDU-PRENEURSHIP HUB and concept. Digital education for new skills, new works and new income is based on digital technology and application. And this area of digital technology education and application is urgently needed to solve the problems of bad governance, corruption, decades in infrastructures, access to education as well as means of creating new opportunities for all. We plan within the next 12 months to:

1- Recruit more participants as beneficiaries from the nine Niger Delta States as well as involve more digitally qualified instructors.

2- Build and equip our HETAVED SKILLS ACADEMY AND DIGITAL INNOVATION HUB with basic digital tools and solar power,,

3- Scale up the model to other parts of Nigeria eg the Northeastern region to help the people with alternative digital skills for new jobs and new income for survival.

4- We hope to acquire and install efficient solar power systems and broad based internet facilities for more efficient performance and service delivery.

We have a goal in the next five years to acquire and equip a MOBILE DIGITO EDU-PRENEURSHIP units like vans, buses and even house boats to cover more remote areas and the coastal communities.

Two, we hope and also plan to reach out and scale the model to other African countries like Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Sudan, Benin republic etc in order to help educate more people on digital education for new skills, new jobs and new income as means of eradicating poverty, hunger, unemployment and  social injustices .

We hope to build more networks and partnership with both public and private organizations across Nigeria and other Africa countries to serve as link bridges and access to beneficiary communities. Also, through schools partnership exchange program on digital education, most secondary and higher institutions shall be made to participate and benefit their students. Most especially, we hope to use the medium of the social media and digital communication/marketing to reach wider audience.

By our plans and projections, within the next 12 months, we hope to reach out to and serve 1.5 million beneficiaries. While in 3 years from now, we hope to expand and reach out to serve at least between 10- 15 million as potential beneficiaries of this scheme.

In addition to our educational requirement in sciences and technology, we have currently under gone Google Digital training for Africans program as one of the recipient of the Google Africa Digital Challenge scholarship to scale up our knowledge base.

The project though run on Tuition free and a Learning-Working and Earning educational model as a non profit organization, but we plan to sustain and expand through:

1- Trading our skills online as a digital innovation hub community and platform to generate extra income for the project,

2- Consultancies to other organizations needy our services,

3- Reaching out to other grant making and donor agencies globally,

4- Also, our alumina who are well groom and mentored for digital works revolution shall be made to subscribed with a little monthly or yearly tokens to the community innovation hub.

We hope though this network and platform to have access to information, mentor-ship and funding sources to actualize this humanitarian project.We desire to expand our network and capacity base through the Solve platform.

Our key barriers include: 1- Inadequate digital resources and equipment to equip our digital class rooms and innovations hub. We hope through this connection, Solve could help us connect with the right donors who could partner with us.

2- Secondly, we need more direct funding to recruit more qualified digitally skilled personnel. And we hope through Solve platform, we could reach out to more donors to over come this barriers.
