Concourse Education is building a new college experience that helps low-income students earn a rigorous, job-relevant, and debt-free bachelor's degree in as little as three years.
For the vast majority of students, college isn’t working. Just one in 13 full-time community college students completes a two-year associate’s degree on-time. Just one in five low-income college students completes a bachelor’s degree within six years.
We're challenging this failing status quo. We recruit students who have dropped out of college or never started, enroll them in a rigorous online degree program, and support them with one-on-one academic coaching, on-demand tutoring, a brick-and-mortar campus, and a community of peers. We also work with employers to design supplemental curriculum that helps students get jobs.
We’ve also designed Concourse to be (at scale) sustainable on earned revenue, without philanthropic subsidy. We do this by tapping into public funding streams, and by operating at a much lower cost than traditional colleges.
