#IamAnti-bullying #BTalksWithNjabuloZulu
Njabulo Zulu is a 13 years old girl from Soshanguve, who is an active Anti-bullying activist through her #BTalks seminars. She had done a lot of talks in different communities, schools and recently, have been features on the SABC Advertisement, broadcasted to millions of South Africans.
With the help of 5 adults, including her mother, there came the formation of Njabulo Zulu Foundation, which aims to continue the diligent work of educating communities about bullying, the negative impacts on children and sometimes, parents.
Through individual and corporate sponsors, Njabulo Zulu foundation has managed to donate the much needed clothes to Jehova Jirah orphanage in December 2019.
There were other several initiatives that Njabulo Zulu wanted to embark on in the year 2020 should the world had not experienced the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Njabulo Zulu intends to educate communities about the negative impacts of bullying.
Community outreach programmes that involves the communities to work together to eradicate bullying in schools and homes. Make alliances with government and corporate institutions to also lend a hand and get involved.
Bullying is a broad concept as it affects either kids, women and to some extend, men too. This social ill has negative impacts on families, people's well-being and their relationships. Happy communities take care of each other, happy kids produce better results at schools and happy families raise morally astitude people that can contribute effectively to their immediate communities, economies and the world at large.
When communities work in harmony they can provide much needed solutions the world needs.
Our organization intends to solve bullying problem. This is a global problem and affects a lot of people, majority being kids at schools or homes.
The underlying problem could be the way that people are raised in their families, where they do not feel loved and now have anger issues and the need to take out their anger on other people.
To some, it is just the lack of knowledge. Some people are not sensitized to realize that their actions are harmful to other people. Our programme, #BTalksWithNjabuloZulu aims to have candid conversations with the youth from different communities. Educate them about bullying and also give them a platform to share their stories, their experiences, their thoughts and their proposed solutions.
In South Africa alone, it is reported that that as many as 57% of South African learners have been bullied at some time during their high-school careers. These would in turn, mean 57% of these learners would turn into 57% of angry adults whom can't raise their kids with love and continue to have unsavory adult relationships with other adults. This could have a negative impact in our today society.
#IamAntibullying and #BTalksWithNjabuloZulu is a platform that gives young people an opportunity to share their bullying experiences, their thoughts, their proposed solutions and support to one another.
It also involves parents to listen, correct and support their children better.
Our project aims to impact the lives of primarily the youth. It aims to mold them into responsible and sensitive adults whom can in future, also continue to raise kids with good morals who are sensitive to feelings of other people.
The project targets learners at schools to convey the messages. We have intense conversations with them and learn through these engagements their school and home lives, their needs and sometimes even refer them to the relevant state professionals for further assistance.
We have a lot of testimonies from young kids that share with us how these conversations have changed their lives and how they are inspired by the work done by Njabulo Zulu Foundation

Sharing my story with other people, having to hear how Njabulo inspires them and reading their testimonies.
Njabulo is a 13 year old girl, she is relatable to her target market and can relate to the social ills they experience.
She has survived being bullied self and she is the best at sharing her own story. She had also worked a little bit on radio motivating other kids, an active member at church and also participate in other extra mural activities such as drama and music
The challenge we always face when undertaking our community initiatives is catering, merchandise and other logistics.
Through the relationships that the foundation and its leaders have made, we always overcome our challenges through the donations.
We also use social media to attract support and still deliver the message.
Njabulo Zulu has been nominated for several awards including the Gauteng Premier Awards hosted by the Gauteng Premier in South Africa.
She has recently won the SABC competition where she was chosen to be part of the 12 community leaders that changed the world and have their messages played on Television and Radio stations.
She has been features on a number of local newspapers and magazines and is part of Ashoka Young Change =makers.
- Nonprofit
It is a project aiming to solve a Global issue that affects people of all races, ages and backgrounds, led by a young 13 year old girl.
It has changed a lot of lives and has everyone involved.
The work that Njabulo Zulu does has a direct impact on the society and communities she works in. As already mentioned, her primary target is the youth and has already received a lot of testimonies that attest to how she has changed their lives through her motivational talks and resistance.
This is already proving to be effective in that the positive response solidifies the intend and with that, communities are changing. The youth is changing how they interact and relate to each other and the adults are noticing, they are also being educated on how they intentionally and unintentionally bully their kids and how that impacts their social welfare and the communities they raise them within.
With this change, we can almost be certain that teh future generation of adults would be morally and ethically aware and will continue to raise their kids with the same values.

To be able to work with Child Line and other initiatives that fights for the same course. To release a book that details my story.
To work with solution drivers and communities to be part of this initiative to drive change.
Finance is a huge bottleneck as Njabulo has to do a lot of travelling to give motivatinal talks, cater for audiences at her events and also donate to the less needy such as orphanages.
Continue to work with the current partners and also grow partner base to ensure sustainability. We hope with partnering with The Elevate Prize program, we can overcome our financial hurdle

We intends to acquire and work with more sponsors and sell some of the merchandise with Njabulo Zulu pictures and messages.
