WESpace | Work and Education Space for All
WESpace, a dynamic platform for career exploration and development with a combination of AI analytic and human touch.
“Lost your dream, stuck at your unproductive work routine, and regret your life,” millions of world population share this experience once in their lifetime.
To stop these, WESpace: a dynamic web-application with the combination of AI analytic and human touch will provide support regarding career exploration and development so that everyone can realize their dreams, having a decent job and leading a meaningful life.
Our team was prompted to initiate this project as we see long-standing problems and discrepancies in Thailand’s education-and-employment ecosystem. Many Thai people suffer from depression due to the feeling of self-unworthiness and insecurity caused by academic pressure from all dimensions: society, family, peer, or themselves. In addition, one-third of Thai graduates are still unemployed because they lack specific skill set for job requirement, information to support their career decision, and most importantly their passion and clear life goal.
One of the most challenging fundamental problem is the attitude instilled by society not only in Thailand, but also in other countries such as Singapore, India, Brazil, New Zealand and China. People all over the world have been pushed to study according to social norms without realizing their own individual interest and capability.
So, how can we not only help them determine their career path, but also conciliate all parts of the communities to support a competency-based personalized education?
In a nutshell, WESpace offers four major functions called ‘4Es’: Evaluation, Exploration, Experience, and Employment.
For ‘Evaluation(E1)’, our technology assesses user’s current proficiency level of competencies and their personal interest by applying a research-based methodology in psychometric assessment. This will enable both users and academic institutions to design a more personalized learning pathway corresponding to the result of student’s assessments for a more demand-driven educational system.
Then, users can ‘Explore(E2)’ our emerging career database, containing specific job descriptions, knowledge and skill requirements, characteristics, reward, social impact, tools, and working context. The system can even suggest top-three most promising career paths for each user using AI technology based on user’s cumulative performance, lifestyles, and competency result.
Once users are able to decide their desired career path, WESpace will suggest suitable the right ‘Experience(E3)’ covering both academic and non-academic activities from our partners, so that they can improve their skill sets and track their development progress relative to their goals.
Finally, it will lead to the last step ‘Employ(E4)’, in which users can create their own profile based on the earlier ‘E’ steps. Equipped with company informations such as culture and review, users can connect with potential employers.
Combining all 4Es together, all can shift their focus from traditional knowledge-based to more personalized competency-based learning that emphasizes on performance, resonating with the pace of change in global and technological revolution.
Ultimately, we determine to scale-up our social impact to the public globally, promoting the lifelong learning for all ages and ethics and expand our partnership to more organizations and companies of wide-ranged industries to establish a sustainable education-and-employment ecosystem.
