Deconet
Blockchain Infrastructure for Distributed Cooperatives and the Digital Knowledge Economy.
1. What is the problem that you are committed to solving?
The creators and makers of the gig + freelance economies are not able to retain the fair value of their contributions because the paradigm they work in has them rent out their time for an hourly salary. This is a vestige of a time when organizations needing to be physically together to create value and makes it difficult to build wealth, as the value is inequitably captured by facilitators.
2. What is the solution you are proposing?
We're creating the marketplace, tools, and interfaces for distributed teams to function as revenue sharing companies and / or platform cooperatives. Our initial focus is on software developers and product teams, and then we intend to generalize the product to the rest of the digital knowledge economy.
3. How will your solution change the world?
Wealth inequality is one of the largest challenges our world faces and it's also a keystone issue, which creates many more problems for the planet and species. By brining the scales back into balance by enabling creators to maintain more the the value they create, the world will change for the better.
