Swapabee
I have travelled the world, lived and started businesses in Serbia, UK and Switzerland. My jobs include implementing the digital strategy supporting business objectives of the different product organizations in collaboration with the product marketing directors and product managers to provide strategic direction and to help meet digital marketing targets and deliverables. In other position in other companies I have been the sole team leader helping to bring a project to fruition. This includes projects in places like Serbia where I had to learn the local language, or China where I had to secure our supply chains in order to make things more efficient. I oversee all digital marketing activities. A main focus is to optimize the end-to-end customer experience along the persona specific buyers journey, and to release targeted digital multichannel
A Sustainable exchange platform for a clutter-free world. Swapabee's patented Matching Algorithm matches you with exactly what you want. Turn that old junk in your home into collateral!
The average household in the UK produces more than a tonne of waste every year. Put together, this comes to a total of 31 million tonnes per year, equivalent to the weight of three and a half million double-decker buses, a queue of which would go around the world two and a half times.
Say you are at home relaxing, watching TV or reading a book like always and you see your old PlayStation or your old mobile phone. Take a picture of your old PlayStation/phone and you say this PlayStation/phone is worth £50.00 to me. The app Swapabee finds you something to swap it for, Swapabee has a very unique algorithm that will match you 5 things you can swap your PlayStation/phone for. We also have a tremendously diverse range on our algorithm so you could end up swapping an old football trophy for that Kings Of Leon album you always wanted.
Smart! Isn’t it?
People of Low income areas or just people who care about their planet and do not want to accumulate any more waste. Everybody has a draw or cupboard in their house full of staff that they just dont need or want anymore. Someone else needs this item. Let the demand meet the supply and help each other.
- Elevating opportunities for all people, especially those who are traditionally left behind
This September we will be rolling out the swapabee platform to 6 high schools in the UK. These are high schools in low income communities where a lot of the kids dont have access to the funds that they need to buy what they need. A lot of these kids then end up doing illegal activities to get the things they want. What if we could help them, what if they could swap between each other for what they want. It doesnt have to be brand new, it just has to be what they want.
Do you know how everyone has a draw or sometimes even a cupboard full of things they dont want. Well my mum is a horder and we had 2 full rooms and a shed full of unused things which eventually just end up in a skip adding to the worlds waste problem. We still went and bought new things all the time but imagine if we could of just swapped for the things that we need?
I am part of sustainability UK and Circular Economy UK GROUP, i care for the environment and all my recent work has been in that direction.

I left London to travel the world at the age of 22, I opened a shop in Serbia and had to learn the language. Age 25 i left for Switzerland and opened an office having also to learn how to speak German. Nothing scares me, i seriously believe i can overcome anything.
Running the shop Trend Shack of which i was a founder was a full time job. We had a branch in London, Camden Town and also a Branch in Serbia, Belgrade. This meant i had to deal with staff in two different countries and logistically stock delivered to two different countries.

We have a matching algorithm which we are in the process of patenting. Our matching algorith matches our users with exactly what they need due to their preferences and location.
If people start to value unused things instead of typically throwing them away then they will waste less. I hope one day in the future we will be able to reduce the UKs 31 million tonnes of waste a year by at least a few million. Also one day our app will convince people to buy less and swap more.

At the moment we are at 12,000 users monthly however In may we have a huge marketing campaign which should bring that to 200,000 users monthly.
We want to launch in the USA and Germany within a year. Also if possible we would like to work directly with all ECO Friendly countries such as The Netherlands And France
Our only barriers is the lack of knowledge due to lack of marketing but as a Marketing Director i know how to rectify this with the correct support. Once we expand i will need new and capable personel and bigger server space.
With the right funding and the right support and content i think we can easily overcome these barriers. This year is already becoming a great year for us. Since the start of the corona virus crisis our website visits have increased by 300%.

we allow other small swap societies to have a multi vendor page on our site.
When you use the app the first swap is free. After this, you will either need to invite 3 friends on social media for each listing or pay a listing fee by donating $1.00 to charity (www.beecharity.org). Of this donation we take a percentage for our running costs. This way we help the community in a number of ways.
We are not generation revenue however we just won a competition with a prize of 100,000 GBP worth of marketing. This has resulted in a marketing campaign across the whole of the UK.
We are looking for 300,000 Dollars in a Grant or on an Equity basis in order to launch Swapabee USA.
My estimated expenses for 2020 are 90,000 Dollars
We want to market our app the best way possible, for this we want as many influencers as possible to use our app. Any introductions to influencers that we can receive would be well appreciated.
