Inamutila is a youth leader, activist and advocate in rural and remote areas as well as at regional and national level..

The main problem to solve is youth unemployment by mobilizing resources such as capital to start small business on non-formal sector to reduce high rates of lack of job. Our organisation mobilize youth to partner by staring business such as baking, tailoring, small garden to enable youth to trade and sell their goods to the open market. By doing this we are meeting the government and private sector half way and instilling confidence in youth to become self employed and change mindset of youth in communities from job seekers to wealth and job creator starting small of course with vision to grow and expand their business in future. 

The main problem or challenge that I and like minded youth are working on is to use technology such as the 4 G to do business. First thing is to encourage all fellow youth to use technology for e-commerce initiatives and network marketing.

We share information regarding the sales and buy products and goods together in bulk to resell. The project aim to deliver goods to clients and is involved in online marketing by capitalizing on social media platforms to promote the products that we are selling.

The project serve to bring the needed goods to the remote and rural areas at affordable and time efficient manner. The project has instilled the entrepreneurial drive in over 50 young people who partner together to sell goods.

The project relates to the Elevate Prize because due to various global challenges, governments will not  provide jobs to all, thus this  project is proactively finding the solution by employing ourselves and be own boss and grow our economy by helping the government and not asking from the government. We chose to do something for our communities with trust and confidence that our businesses will grow. We rely and embrace technology to run our business and share ideas, 9-5 jobs is under threat we use data to exploit all opportunities including by strategies to benefit from 5 G technology.  

The idea began from economic crisis of 2008 where jobs were lost and decided to venture into self employment. A group of 30 youth came together as synergy and work on viable and valid ideas that are profitable in Namibia and took risks to fund our small business and eventually grow. We brainstorm and share ideas and agree on one idea by prioritizing the best profitable idea and implement it together and agree to share profit equally among ourselves as business partners and shareholders. We are doing well despite global pandemics and as a team remain optimistic at all times and we tackle any challenge together that we always emerge stronger after any challenge endured..

Because it gives satisfaction and unite us by changing lives and hoping for a better future ahead. 

I am a team leader for the project but regularly consult all team members for the input by having regular meetings.

I see all crisis as an opportunity. My thinking is every problem is a profitable business opportunity. I always go to places where there is many people and observe and listen to their complaints and thereafter together with our whole team will try to find a solution in profitable way.

My leadership is based on negotiation, consensus and compromise for the greater good of what is right. The team was faced with challenges of getting trade licence from the Ministry of Trade. I took an initiative to write to the Ministry and meeting the top officials and get license approved. Some team members doubted the strategy but through positive mindset we managed to get the license as soon as possible and trade freely.

Our project team is a youth led organisation focusing on self empowerment, self reliance and using the youth demographic dividend to contribute to the development (sustainable development off course) of our country and in future will expand and focus on national, regional and global economy.
