Attain 9
Seanne N. Murray, otherwise known as “The Voice for Good" aspired to be a writer and a humanitarian from the early age of seven. She’s authored several publications including her first book, a guide to mastering self-love, was an editor of the Political and Civil Rights Law Review at Temple University School of Law and her op ed piece on human trafficking was published in the Miami Herald. Since 2001, following the terror she personally endured on 9/11, she’s been devoted to exploring and understanding the oneness of humanity. She created Seanne N. Murray Enterprises, LLC, as the foundation for media and social enterprise and 90 Minutes of Solutions for social change. She chaired a panel on clean drinking water at Harvard Law School and is the writer, creator and executive producer of the upcoming feature film, Chicago 1919, as announced in Deadline Hollywood, featuring Rosanna Arquette.
What can we do to start more businesses that serve the social and environmental concerns of the global community?
The Attain 9 Game Plan:
1.host motivational events to inspire development of new social enterprises
2.host pitch competitions
3.select 9 investable ideas
4.invite budding entrepreneurs into a business incubator (televised)
5.provide resources for success
6.fund new businesses (crowd funding, angle investment, venture capital)
7.launch social enterprises
8.change the world
9.repeat and expand globally
We envision a future where we:
- live purpose driven lives
- recognize the ability to use our collective power to heal our selves and the planet
- advocate social enterprise as the preferred means to generate wealth
Success is the advancement of mankind.
Social enterprise is stigmatized, making money while doing good, and there is not enough support for the development of the same worldwide.
Attain 9 is where motivation and action intersect.
- live stream 9 annual events with highly acclaimed leaders/speakers
- live stream pitch competition
- announce 9 big ideas to accelerate
- challenge ideas in an American Idol meets Shark Tank setting
The community is twofold:
1. Zoomers who are primed and ready to change the world beyond protest, provided with encouragement and opportunity to transform their ideas into social enterprises that support their personal and financial growth and sustainability while tangibly addressed social and environmental issues that impact their communities and the world.
2. The global community that requires humans to focus on repair , prevention and sustainability with respect to social and environmental issues.
- Elevating opportunities for all people, especially those who are traditionally left behind
Attain 9 is the culmination of years of personal growth and work that began with my 9/11 experience and blossomed with the murder of a Black man at the hands of police at which point I became a dedicated advocate and humanitarian. I've combined my business and creative skills to benefit social well- being from Stop Stuff focused on alleviating gun violence, to 90 Minutes of Solutions, working with athletes and entertainers to move the community from conversation to solution building, to the Ara Initiative focused on clean water for America's children. That work, those experiences, my dedication to solutions, led me here, culminating in Attain 9.
It is time that we collectively pursue the healing of our nation, America, and the healing of the world. Unprecedented change is at hand. It is imperative that we provide the guidance and resources necessary to give social issues and those who care about them the standing they deserve.
After passing the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar exams (no longer active) and briefly practicing corporate law, I held various international high-level positions on Wall Street at Deutsche Bank, Utendahl Capital Partners (at that time, the largest Black owned fixed income firm) and CIBC, from 1994 through 2003 where my expertise was institutional sales of convertible bonds. I was SVP of Business Development and Strategic Initiatives for a
healthcare IT start up in New Jersey through 2006. Murray co-founded MJ Consulting Group, a high margin business specialized in accredited medical education programs, thereafter, for Johns Hopkins University where she developed the largest grant for fibromyalgia funded by Eli Lilly, Forest and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.
In 1994, I was COO of award-winning NFL player, Reggie White’s non-profit housing development company in Philadelphia. In 2016, after the shooting of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, LA, I launched Stop Stuff, an initiative to advocate against gun violence. In 2018, I launched 90 Minutes of Solutions with television and radio host, Larry King; NBA All Star, Theo Ratliff; GQ writer, Cal Fussman and 90210 actress, Annalynne McCord. The initiative
provides a platform for conversation and solution building. Murray also founded The Ara Initiative, a non-profit focused exclusively on providing clean water to children across America.
I have the background, skills and passion for excellence and success.
I launched Stop Stuff, an initiative to advocate against gun violence. I used the brand to raise awareness of and money for organizations successfully leading the charge, primarily in Chicago. The venture was not successful, in my opinion, though others may disagree.
My greatest learning was the focus on my intention. The name, "stop stuff", automatically put light on the negative, stopping rather than starting...and so it was. I shut down the company, and asked that people no longer wear the gear, but focus on solutions. From that point on, I've been very particular about naming and process.
To attain is to succeed in achieving a thing, to come or arrive by motion, growth or effort, to take a thing to its final point, to achieve a goal toward which one has worked, and to come or arrive by motion, It represents growth, effort, fulfillment and graduation, stepping into a new you.
Nine is the number of universal love, service to humanity, leading by positive example, philanthropy and charity.
Nine, always followed by the number one, represents the cycle of endings and beginnings, open doors, and is an indicator of maximum possibility. Nine represents wisdom and sharing of the same.
I created 90 Minutes of Solution to move society from the hashtag world of complaints to the communal world of solution building. My first 150 person event took place in Beverly Hills. I single handedly recruited a panel of influencers including Larry King, Theo Ratliff and others identified above. I followed that with 3 additional events in Florida on motivating children, human trafficking and the environment where I featured international and local experts on each topic.
