Connect is focused around community building as it aims to create a sense of belonging and importance to people by being able to positively contribute to the wellbeing of their communities through charity work and neighborhood activities and/ donations. The app also provides a safe and secure platform for individuals and business to sell and market their products and services. This particular feature is to aid informal business and get many of them, who are not tech savvy, familiar with online environment and how they can use it to grow and expand their businesses. 

The aim is to form a powerful partner and link between informal business and their customers. To collect valuable data on consumer trends and behavior within the informal sector. And to use that data to strengthen the businesses. To create a safe and secure platform for the community to engage one another on the issues within their communities and what (projects) they can do to do better it. To raise funds and share duties for and within these communities and track the activities of each project.

During the covid-19 crisis and the lock-down I realized that millions would be left without their daily means of proving food on the table I thought about the opportunity that is lost to them in general because of a lack of online presence and decided to create a platform for them to do business and collect valuable data on consumer trends and behavior within the informal sector. And to use that data to strengthen the businesses. To create a safe and secure platform for the community to engage one another on the issues within their communities and what (projects) they can do to do better it. I also thought about the communities that will need everyone's help rebuilding it and to raise funds and share duties for and within these communities and track the activities of each project .

It presents an opportunity to for me improve my environment and the lives of millions of people. 

Because I understand the needs of the people. I come from these communities I understand how difficult it is to emerge from the cycle of poverty that has haughty Africa for centuries. I understand the importance of working together towards what should be a global common goal of a better life for ALL. 

As a 30 year old single mother of 3. I really surprised myself when I went back to school to study software engineering left my job and started focusing on my business full time.It has been a tough journey but I find so much comfort in the fact that I am doing what I love and soon I will be changing lives for the better. 

I have come to realize that as humans there is so much we are able to do if we try.
