Movimento #2em2
The Movimento #2em2 movement, a major non-profit campaign to test against the COVID-19 virus in Brazil, creates a framework for a structured civil society response against the coronavirus in our country. Through an innovative solution, the Movimento #2em2 activated by the Rappi mobile app for the general population, it uses accessory tests, in a model in which, for each purchase, another test is performed on a person in a situation of social vulnerability. A copper solution for the entire Brazilian population as a potential beneficiary. That is, accessing all social classes in territories where the population has financial resources or is in a situation of social vulnerability, a test of similar human beings and being able to identify whether or not there was or was not infected by new coronaviruses. This model allows that, in addition to individual results, it can generate usage information for national decision making.
The pandemic of the new coronavirus in Brazil generates a humanitarian, health and economic crisis in our country, not only due to the spread of the virus, but also due to the lack of information about its spread. Based on this fact, the solution of Movement # 2in2 works to test the Brazilian population to mitigate the impacts on the economy, flatten the infection curve and save lives. After all, the application of tests in the population is extremely linked to the provision of information for decision making in the face of the pandemic. The sooner we identify which people were infected, the more information we will have about the prevalence and dissemination in the population, since the lack of evidence does not allow assertive decision-making.
Movimento#2em2, the largest non-profit campaign to test antibodies against the COVID-19 virus in Brazil, creates a framework for a structured response by civil society against the coronavirus in our country. Through an innovative solution, the Movimento #2em2 provides a platform by the Rappi mobile app for the general population to purchase antibody tests, in a model where, for each purchase, another test is donated to a person in situation of social vulnerability. The goal is to increase population's mass testing offer in a safe way. And also creating a solid base for scientific evidence, capable of providing authorities more precise information and allowing them better decision making on the health resources allocation. As well the economy recovery, especially related to the fight against the pandemic. The tests are sold through a mobile application, them collected by a medical team through a "drive-thru" system and later examined. The testing happens at adequate shopping malls parking lots on a pre-scheduled day and time previously set at the pp. Tests originated by the “buy one, donate another” model are distributed by Renovatio. Where we make sure the donated tests reach public hospitals, philanthropic institutions and communities in social vulnerability situation.
The solution covers the entire Brazilian population as a potential beneficiary. That is, we reach all social classes in territories where the population has financial resources or is in a situation of social vulnerability, in order to test human beings equally and to be able to identify whether or not there has been contamination by the new coronavirus. This model allows us to have the dimension of the infection rate of the territory in a homogeneous way and we are also able to generate information for decision making by public authorities from the reports and results presented by mass testing.
There is a strong relationship with the Challenge as it is a latent need for people and society. Brazil is the new world epicenter of the pandemic precisely because there is no testing and control of the population. Therefore, we offer the solution so that the contamination rate can be dimensioned and we can generate scientific information based on evidence for decision making by the authorities, as well as identify contaminated patients who may develop complications. Therefore, we act for the prevention of a greater number of contaminations, as well as the early treatment of patients who develop COVID-19.
- Growth: An organization with an established product, service, or business model rolled out in one or, ideally, several communities, which is poised for further growth
- A new application of an existing technology
The solution's innovation consists of using existing physical, technological and financial resources to achieve the goal of mass testing. That is, in partnership with the Rappi delivery app, we were able to promote the sale of tests and schedule the exam without the need to leave the house, a remote and secure process for the service taker. The collection and processing of the exam is carried out by a specialized laboratory that guarantees the quality and accuracy of the result. Finally, the donation is made by the social organization Renovatio, which with a wide reach in the health and social assistance sector makes it possible for tests captured from the market via donation to be sent to public hospitals, philanthropic institutions and communities in social vulnerability.
The technology involved allows a direct interface with the final consumer, that is, with the use of the Rappi app and internet access, the customer has access to purchase the test and schedule his exam. This, in turn, is carried out in the drive-thru system in mall parking spaces that are not in operation, which avoids the maximum contact of the patient with external agents, prioritizing their quality of life and preserving their health so that there is no contamination in establishments where there is a movement of people.
The use of technology allowed us to sell more than 3000 tests in just over a month and schedule the same number of tests. All this result was achieved without any customer having to leave the house to make the purchase or make the payment. The platform allows this relationship to be made in a simple, reliable and secure way, both for the finances and for the life of the service borrower.

We are going to test the mass population to solve the problem. The change comes when we propose a theory in which mass testing allows the identification of Brazilian citizens who are and who have already been contaminated by the new coronavirus. We will not superficially address the health problem in which we live, and we propose to resolve this issue through action. The two-by-two test model, we use private resources from individuals and private companies to innovate and scale the volume of tests carried out to generate individual and society information. The aim is to generate evidence-based information for decision making in all areas of society. No one else will be afraid of the doubt of being contaminated. No company will have any more uncertainty about the return of its activities. No public representative will make decisions without information to support his position. All people will have access to a test, and this will allow their family to live together and perform daily activities in a safe way. Our model will be a reference in scale and assertiveness in the sector and we will consolidate this change through articulated work with different agents from different sectors of society.

The Movimento #2em2 has already carried out 3,000 tests on patients who can afford the exam and has already offered 20,000 tests to people in socially and economically situations of vulnerability in Brazil. The impact achieved is directly related to the $ 150,600.00 USD in revenue from the sale and testing, spent exclusively to cover the administrative and operational project costs, with no profit being made in this process. Together with the $4,000,000.00 USD obtained through donation from the private sector through sponsors and partners and $5,000,000 USD from individual donors who believe in our purpose and our project.
We started our work and testing in the city of São Paulo, where we have already impacted 3,000 people who purchased the exams and 20,000 people who benefited from donated tests. Today we also serve the city of Rio de Janeiro in two testing units. In the next year we will achieve mass testing at the main affected cities from all regions of Brazil. Our goal for the next 5 years months is to take the exam on an additional 1,000,000 people, from all cities where we are operating. With the consolidated model, we will be able to mobilize more and more resources to reach an even greater number of people.
The barriers found to reach our goal are the difficulties of human resources to be able to carry out the expansion. After all, with the lean contingent, we face the operational difficulty of reaching territories in the country. For this reason, we need financial resources to increase our contingent.
In order to democratize access to tests and spread our operations in a country of continental proportions, we are looking for resources that allow hiring and increasing the workload of specialists in fundraising, expansion and growth of operations.

The business model is structured to generate value for society and the individuals inserted in it through mass testing, which in addition to individually identifying each patient, also generates evidence-based information for individual and collective decision-making. Our target audience is all Brazilian citizens and we reach them through direct sales via app and we conduct the exams in parking lots using the drive-thru model. Our cost center is exclusively the purchase of inputs, local operation and expansion into new territories and the source of revenue comes from direct sales and donations by private companies that support the solution. The donated tests are made available to social organizations and managed by Movimento #2em2.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
The financial sustainability of the solution is based on the business model based on the match. When a patient purchases his test with his own resources, in addition to having access to the service and the information generated from it, it allows us to connect the quantity sold with a sponsoring company and she will be in charge of financially donating the corresponding amount for the Moviment #2em2 can acquire, donate and test population in a situation of social vulnerability in public hospitals and philanthropic institutions

Therefore, it is of great value to be part of this network and to offer the possibility of partnership and sponsorship that allow the execution of our activities.
The purpose is the great motivator for social transformation and innovation. It is with an entrepreneurial way of achieving results and managing teams and resources that we take the solution of access to vision to the most diverse communities in the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Combining human talent with technical management skills acquired through personal and professional experiences, the leader Marcus Barão has impacted 23,000 lives throughout 2020. Inspiring people and organizations, partners and sponsors, even in graduation, he dared to change society and sought to investigate the real number of cases of the new coronavirus in Brazil. Instigated by the desire to be an agent of change and to have a positive impact on society, he brought with him leaders and entrepreneurs from different sectors of the national economy to bring the right to see to the population in social vulnerability. The road has been long and the journey has been hard, but it is not yet the end. To achieve the personal and professional goal of serving all people in the municipalities in which he is working, the entrepreneur works daily to connect people and organizations that believe in his dream and will achieve, through his hard work but also by the opportunities that motivate him, as Elevate Prize.
Technology is the essence of our activity, from the purchase of the test and scheduling the exam via the delivery app, to the use of tests and carrying out tests that can identify the infection of patients. We use science and information to identify needs and generate evidence-based public use reports. Thus, we seek to carry out our activities to save lives and offer the population in an economic technology system the opportunity to identify needs and eliminate social distances and inequalities with a product accessible to all of society. Therefore, we use technology in its most varied forms to promote human dignity, basic treatment rights and save lives.
The Brazilian population is mostly composed of women. Those who are in turn responsible for both the budget and family support for domestic and external economic activities, as well as for maintaining the social pillars of their family and consequently of society. Based on this information, we offer the possibility for our solution to expand its activities to centers and networks of organized women. The proposal is to ensure that as the most important person in the family and society, it has its due value to be prioritized and served exclusively and primarily in our philanthropic testing system in communities in situations of social vulnerability, since these are the places where they demand greater care and attention, whether basic or special.
Historically, the organization responsible for social technology and solution has been strongly involved in the refugee support policy. That is, we offer job opportunities for the elaboration and execution of the work. At this time, our strategy is to assign a team that is able to expand donations to social organizations, reception centers and national and international public and private institutions that are able to offer mass testing of the new coronavirus to this population that is in great majority vulnerable. socially and economically and cannot access the opportunity to know early if she is or has been infected, putting not only herself but her entire family at risk of health. Therefore, our solution allows refugees to be able to be counted in our statistics to control the spread of the virus and also offer guidance for treatment if they have manifested the disease, avoiding complications that can lead to death.
The Movimento #2em2 offers direct benefits to society on four aspects: 1 - Testing the portion of society that can afford the procedure; 2 - Testing the portion of society in social vulnerability that cannot afford the costs; 3 - Exemption from the state that has no resources, financially and operationally, for mass testing; 4 - And, finally, the generation of real evidence-based information for decision making and generation of efficient public policies. The direct testing of society in all its social extracts, in addition to identifying the level of real contagion and the degree of immunization of citizens, allows the state to adopt policies that are more rigid or flexible, according to the results pointed out by the study. Mass testing allows lives to be saved. That is, from the identification of the infection by the virus, the medical and health authorities identify the early need for the patient to be treated efficiently and avoid severe complications that can lead to a long period of hospitalization and even death. therefore, the Movimento #2em2 acts daily to save lives directly and indirectly, preserving the greatest asset of an individual in a simple, intelligent and efficient way.
Economics as a human science emerged to serve and increase the quality of life for human beings, and not the other way around. This statement allows us to place the individual at the center of the discussion and all the complexity of the social structure is to provide him with his well-being. Our solution prioritizes human life and allows private companies and social organizations to work together to use the financial resource as a tool to guarantee care, testing, infection identification and referral for special care, in addition to informing government authorities of the need to change and implementation of public policy. The impact of millions of lives that need to be tested in order for them to survive depends on our activity and that for our reach to be greater and we can reach more territories, it is of fundamental importance that we can advance our operations to the largest cities suffering from the pandemic with the lack of information across the country.
