Lacks in strict adhesion to disinfection protocols causes nosocomial infections to forward patients pathogens as bacteria’s, fungal, prions, virus as COVID-19 etc, can be transmitted. Prevent the spread of pathogens as listed above is needed to improve health secure. How I do it?
It’s possible get information during each reprocessing device process to compliance strict adhesion to disinfecting protocols.
For what purpose?
That information don’t allow us to be sure that device is clean, but allow us trust that the probability of device contamination is at minimum.
How can this benefit?
The spread of pathogens as tuberculosis, HIV and others related to reprocessing devices errors can be prevent with this system besides covid-19 pandemic have shown that a base sickness worst the ability of patients to overcome covid-19. The motivation and success in this solutions is prevent them.
Big advances are made in hygiene more often in automatic systems regarding manual cleaning, this particularly affects health institutes with disinfection rooms that can’t pay for complex and expensive automatic systems. Regarding disinfection method to manual cleaning that is cheaper and easy in implementation moreover WHO has described as a problem in manual reprocessing that: “do not exist a mechanism that assure constant compliance”. This affects especially medical devices contaminated for bad reprocessing.
The first step was understand that success in manual disinfection not just depends of a high level disinfection, also include storing and traceability of resources.
The second step was understand that manual protocols it’s not the same for every single health institute, this protocol change according to the needs of the institution as but no limited to: endoscope devices and chemical agents.
Further. Create a network of devices located in every site of interest in the disinfecting room, capable of catch information and instruct the process in every single step working together with health personnel.
This solution prevents sickness and deeper, prevent spread of pathogens as listed above. This is functional to increase health security especially in systems not robust financially in or out a pandemic. Besides saves money of future attentions to patients that diseases were caused by nosocomial infection.
In COVID-19 pandemic, some people die for COVID-19 virus and other patients die with COVID-19 virus. I mention this because have base sickness as tuberculosis or HIV can worst the ability of patients to overcome pathogens as COVID-19.
The success of this solution is in implement a new device that cares patients not matter if kid, older, man or female and improve the security in health. Improving the health of patients facing future pandemics.
