Global PPEE Hub
We are faced with a global pandemic, but not a global platform for PPE. Front line workers are not well protected and at the same time PPE is available somewhere in the world. Frauds happen frequently. Disadvantage populations and regions have limited power in competing for life saving PPE.
Using an online global platform paired with a quality reliability and business standing assessment system, we aim to democratize PPE access through AI and social networking, matching demand with reliable supply directly and effectively all over the world. All information on PPE supply will be gathered, sorted, evaluated, compared, and rated by one click. Services on cross cultural communication, legal consultancy, and quality testing will be provided.
Front line workers world wide have easier, fairer, safer, faster, and cheaper access to PPE available all around the world by one click. They can fight the pandemic without worrying about proper protection.
With the outbreak of COVID-19, the world seems not so well prepared, and a dearth of PPE is one of the key challenges. Front line workers in Wuhan, Italy, Spain, and US have experienced a shortage of PPE and many of them get the virus by caring for the infected. Front line workers in developing countries and refugee camps are at a greater risk of lacking essential PPE and other equipment. The fight against the pandemic will be hauled if large number of front line workers are not protected. Many governments, hospitals, and donating organizations find it hard to purchase PPE and receive unqualified supply from time to time.
The demand far exceeds the existing production capacity as the basic challenge, some other factors also deserve proper attention. One factor is insufficient connectivity and matching: when hospitals are on their knees for PPE, some producers and suppliers with good products do not have the information, or the channel to the most needed. Another factor is the difficulties in navigating the international standards, such as CE and FDA requirements. Many new factories or producing lines established but to be tested. And a globally recognized business credibility system is not available.
A global platform that links and matches demand with supply globally with a system to evaluate the quality and business credit and other services.
This platform will build a global database of the PPE producers and suppliers, including those with medium to smaller capacities. A business credit and quality reliability system will also be implemented with AI and social networking, particularly, reviews from the purchaser and end user side, and independent reviews from the experts. Coaching service will be provided to the the producers and suppliers on how to act in a global market. AI will be used to match demand with supply, or a combination of demands or a combination of supplies.
The technology we us is AI that sorts big data, matches the demand with supply, and evaluates the quality and business credit at a globally large scale. It will integrate the existing platforms and add value by giving independent reviews of the product quality and business credit.
The population we target indirectly are the front line workers and the communities they serve. We will invite them to give feed on their experience with the PPE they use.
The problem is that under global emergency response, insufficient connectivity the producer and supplier of PPE with demand and a lack of systematic assessment of product quality and business credit make it hard to get existing qulified PPE to the hands of the most needed front line workers. We are going to build a global platform to link demand with supply directly with systematic evaluations and ratings and other services to facilitate the process.
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea
- A new application of an existing technology
This solution use AI and data science to gather every possible information on the much needed PPE supply and evaluate them with a system that combines both AI and human networking.
We also provide a solution to the quality control and business credit across countries to assist the procurement decision process.
We provide services to assist culture, legal, and language barriers in global network.
The technology we use is to gather big data all over the world across other existing platforms and analyze it with AI to produce usable references for the demand side, especially quality reliability and business credit.
It is widely used in purchasing numerous products or commodities, for example air tickets, phones, and foods. What's new is the evaluation of the quality reliability and business credit with AI and social networking.
- Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
- Behavioral Technology
- Big Data
- Crowdsourced Service / Social Networks
Problem: the PPE is in scarcity and the market lacks globally recognized standards for quality and credit. Purchasers and suppliers with money and power have advantages. Many purchasers either cannot get PPE or get unqualified PPE.
Solution: AI get every possible supplier and a systematic evaluation of the quality reliability and business credit.

currently we have served 100,000 front line workers, we aim to serve 1 million front line workers in one year and 10 million in five years.
The goal is that every front line worker have easy access to PPE. We aim to serve a platform for emergency procurement for governments, private sector and NGOs in different kinds of emergency situations even after the COVID-19 pandemic is well controlled.
financially we do not have the funding to launch the project. We also need to find ways to promote this platform to both supply side and demand side.
We will seek funding opportunities with every possible source and partner with governments and international organizations.

The two core members of the team, Zhanjie and Qinghua grew up in traditional Chinese villages where people share their tools, labors, and connections. Now we are virtually living in a "global village" but lack some critical village community spirits, for example community pressure on trustworthiness. They two have worked in community development in International NGO, local NGO and social enterprise setting for a combination of 30 years. We know well of the pain of the vulnerable population in disastrous situations and the challenges faced by NGOs in procurement of essential products for aid.
Both Zhanjie and Shaoshan are recent MCMAP graduates of Harvard Kennedy School and have built a network of classmates and alumni from all over the world, in governments, private sector, and NGOs.
Shaoshan is a pioneer in autonomous driving technologies, he developed and commercialized the world’s first affordable and reliable autonomous driving solution for microtransit, which is now in operation in the U.S., Japan, Europe, and China. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from University of California, Irvine.
