Afrimart is an e-commerce platform focused on the distribution and exportation of all African heritage products.
This is a new business initiative, the very first of its type for this category of African heritage products. Our target customers are tourists, researchers, re-sellers and distributors of Agro-Allied products, international small and medium and large scale farmers and Africans living in the diaspora.
Our business model is to earn foreign exchange into the economy as well as to increase patronage for local farmers and manufacturers. Creating this platform has also solved the problem of indirect purchase, fraud and delayed delivery.
Our Vision for community development is to use a portion of our profits to organize free trainings for local manufacturers and local farmers on the use of ICT and modern innovation for their various venture.
My personal ambition with Afrimart is to build the enterprise to be a successful and well recognized social enterprise in Africa. My vision is to use Afrimart in sustaining the production of African heritage products and Agro-Allied products which will boost Agribusiness on the continent.

Our marketing plan is to launch series of campaign using the social media platform. In addition we will also be partnering with various tourist centres on the African continent to ensure one-on-one marketing to our target customers.
The market is enormous and filled with unlimited opportunities. Tourists from different continents, distributors of farm produce and other Agro-Allied products, researchers and Africans in the Diaspora are our various target customers. According to a research we engaged in some years ago, we found out that there are over 20 million Africans living in the Diaspora.
According to my research, Nigeria has the highest youth population in Africa, coupled with the different sectors my business cut across. I would project the size of my customers segment to be at least 30 million people. Beneficiaries in terms of local farmers and manufacturers are over 100 and the number will increase as we grow.

Our personal philosophy is that true success only comes when one helps others achieve theirs. This desire has over the last eight years metamorphosed into an unquenchable love for creating solutions to socio-economic challenges.
Our target customers cut across different industries. Afrimart will provide easy access to purchase these goods anywhere in the world.

My specific aims for applying is to deposit of my personality in the organization, empower myself enough to develop my country, gain exposure by learning more about social innovation, expand my professional network and actively study the dynamics of entrepreneurship. Solve will give me the right exposure in team working and make me work co-operatively, across cultures and organizational boundaries to achieve shared goals.
For now the major difficulty I am facing as a founder is that I am short-staffed. I have a 4 man team and I need to recruit more people to grow and expand. At times we receive orders we cannot meet up with because we have been overwhelmed and over stretched. There is high demand for products in our Agro-Allied sector and we urgently need to recruit a marketing team as well as purchase delivery vans to meet demands and increase revenue.
