Maison Hendricks
Due to laws and regulations , it is mandatory for every respirator to have an emergency manual module in case of mechanical failure and power outage . this emergency respirator needs to be spun manually at 60 RPM ,meaning a revolution every second, which is not humanly sustainable for the staff . the issue is that during crisis the goal is to provide maximum care for the maximum patient possible .This is why we came up with a solution in partership with the cardiological center of paris and automated the manual emergency respirator. With this solution every ecmo respirator can be used and every manual emergency respirator can be automated. This means that twice the number of people can be taken care of without using the workforce to manualy spin the respirators
We're adressing a crisis response problem. It is not viable for hospitals to have respirators stored just in case of a pandemic while its not going to be used 99% of the time . The idea is to find a solution rapidly and cheaply available in order to double the number of respirator without doubling the cost or having to wait for shipment ( which are unavailable during major pandemic crisis)
The solution we came up with is voluntarily simple and easily scalable .The point here was to detach the crank of the manual respirator and through 3d printed parts connect it to a DC motor ( medical grade motor capable of running for several weeks non stop) and control it through a PWM controller in order to reach the RPM needed , connected to a regular power supplied plugged in a socket .
Our solution is for every hospital in the world and also specifically for hospitals with low-budget regarding pandemic crisis . We understood their needs by collaborating with surgeons of the centre cardiologique du nord de Paris, whom we have regular meeting to monitor needs and advancement .
The challenge here is to come up with solutions to answer pandemic crisis. These solutions must be already in hospitals when the crisis hit , or be easily retrievable. It is also essential to that the solution comes at a moderate price and be scalable . the module we're developing is aimed at being stored inevery hospital and deployed ponctually only in crisis episodes . The low-price and the availabily of the parts makes it the perfect solution for hospitals and especially the ones in remote place that have a hard time getting supplies during crisis
- Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model
- A new application of an existing technology
Our solution innovative because it uses parts already bought by hospitals that can't be used during a crisis ( cranking a manual emergency respirator all day long would be impossible for nursing staff) and it uses 3D printed parts in order to render it easily adaptable .All parts have been validated by members of staff of the Centre cardiologique du nord de Paris . we also want our products to be remotely controlable and manageable through and IOT chip ( SigFox and or Lora depending on coverage)
This technology is nothing new. the medical grade motor have been used for years and the PWM controller is used in the vast majority of electronical objects . We did not create anything new,at the contrary,we work hard in order to use already available parts because a crisis can only be contained if the staff is familiar with the tools at their disposal and if the said tools are easily available at a moderate price .
- Internet of Things
- Manufacturing Technology
- Materials Science
Our solution will have direct results as it is easy to use , manufacture and repair . the moderate price would fit any hospital crisis budget. We could have comeup with a more elaborate system but this wouldn't help in a crisis if itsnot already in hospital or at an expensive price . The goal hereis only to give the tool to answer to a ponctual need.

Our solution just got out of the prototyping phase and we'd need funds for the industrialization
within 5 years Maison Hendricks' goal is toContinue our work on connecting smart city and carry on our endeavours toward heling the world find crisis solution . Maison Hendricks is only here to help Society and only want to be paid in direct link with how much it helps society .
Finances . Most of our budgets are directed towards making cities more connected and urban equipment more efficient and optimized. We currently do not have budgets for our crisis response department .
- For-profit, including B-Corp or similar models
2 engineers ,a designer and a team of surgeons to regularly challenge our solutions
Maison Hendricks is specialized in Mechanical innovation and optimizing what is already in use in our cities and communities . We ve been working relently on automating the process of waste collection by automating the bag changing of city dustbins while holding the full bags in the dustbins body in order to divide by 3 the number of collection needed. Optimization is our field of expertise and that goes for every product that has a mechanical component to it
CIty of Puteaux for testing our Automated bagchanging dustbin, we're incubated in the Arts et Métiers engineering school , we work with the ISEP engineering schools , and we partnered up with surgeons of the centre cardiologique du Nord de paris in order to develop our respirator solution
Sale of quality products at a sensible price .Our product can save life at a low price and can be adapted worldwide . Hospitals need our prodcut because it is the only solution that can bedeployed within a day to double the number of respirator at the fraction of the price

Hospitals and respirator manufacturer in order to have our solution either already stored in hospitals or directly mounted to the classical ecmo respirators
this is a solution for all . we do not understand this gender seperation
Hospitals are partly financed through medical bills paid by patients. the price of medical devices is directly integrated to the price people pay .We work hard to reduce that cost so everyone could afford to be safe and healthy
This solution is out of ouz usual zone of interest but this is a global problem that needs to be adressed and fixed by anyone who can help and have the skills to do so . We, as a company, want to help the world in any way we can even if its not for profits
