cd19 ailicone
My material will have covid 19 resistance. It could help stop the spread of the disease. Currently the best material for covid 19 resistance is copper. I believe my material will be a lot better and a cheaper alternative. I think this material could save thousands of lives globally.
Covid 19 spreads via droplets. This could be from someone touching a handle that had coughed in their hand and now making the door handle a place where people could be infected. Also someone who has the virus could have touch a lift button or stop button on train. This a world wide issue and many thousands have died so far.
My material is a silicone material. It has a anti-microbial additive within that helps it stop viruses and bacteria like Covid 19. The additive is already successful against SARS,Influenza and Avian Flu. This leads me to believe this material will perform well against Covid 19. The material could be placed of common touch points like door handles or buttons on public transport offering some protection against the disease.
My product could mean less people are infected. It could also give people the confidence to go back to work or use certain facilities. It may mean that people have the confidence to come back outside and interact with the general population. People are worried about meeting in certain situations and my product may help them with this issue.
I need to test my material to covid 19. If the testing proves positive then this product will be used by millions if not billions and may help against a global pandemic. Any help to get my material tested will be appreciated.
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea
- A new application of an existing technology
The best material for covid 19 resistance is copper at the moment. From a materials technologist view there will be a better material and testing needs to take place to find this material. My material will offer protection to a virus where there is no vaccine as yet.
The core technology is an anti microbial agent within the compound and the PPH it is added to the compound.
The additive that is used in my material is used by a handful of companies and has accreditations for resistance to SARS, Influenza and Avian flu.

Currently serves zero as it is only a concept.
Will serve the whole world if sucessful
If the product is successful I hope to save as many lives as possible by slowing the rate of the spread of the disease by getting product to the whole world.
Getting my product tested against the covid 19 virus is the one and only obstacle
Keep trying to get the funding to test the material and find who can test the material
- For-profit, including B-Corp or similar models
