YIKES! Solar Powered Sanitation Station
Our team is committed to solving and slowing down the spread of COVID-19 and other airborne diseases that could create a global health pandemic. Our solution is to provide indoor and outdoor multifunctional sanitation stations in public areas for public use.
Having these remote sanitation stations will allow more readiness for the next global pandemic. Prevention is the key to a healthy human population.
Our solution positively changes lives, by constantly being a reminder to have proper hygiene to prevent the spread of germs. Additionally, our product allows employs gig economy workers just as notable apps like Uber, Postmates, Lyft, and others.
The problem within the current COVID-19 challenge is the mindset of the people willing to risk their lives for a good time socially. Economically, companies need people to interact and socialize to maintain revenue growth, however, both the entertainment and public service industries have yet to find a proper solution for the masses.
COVID-19 is a global health challenge, which has changed the landscape for all social activities, so our multiuse sanitation station solution can be implemented across every continent in public spaces. There have been 8.2+ people worldwide to contract the virus from November 2019 to current.
The spread of COVID-19 was a lack of readiness by institutions and governments worldwide. Our goal is to be the largest secondary distributor of health items globally, but having a presence locally with our stations.
Additionally, our product would keep gig workers working during a global pandemic; and keep the public in a reminded state of thinking about good hygiene.
Yikes! is a multiuse indoor/outdoor Bluetooth synced sanitation station for humans of all ages. At a solar powered sanitation station, you will find the following: Free automatic hand sanitizer, a vending dispenser of plastic gloves and face mask (for purchase by mobile app only), a cell phone cleaning/charging station, a recycle bin, and a digital tv screen for advertising and emergency notifications.
Consumers of the vending dispenser will need to download the mobile application to purchase health consumables. This application similar to Uber has a place for the gig economy workers to check the status of their station for which they manage.
The YIKES! Sanitation Station kiosk looks to serve the public at large. We plan to target the working class population and YIKES! kiosk will be found at: public parks, bus stops, sports arenas, office buildings, in front of supermarkets, airports (domestic & international), train stations, and public schools & universities.
To understand the needs of the people is to understand how convenient our technology will be for their everyday lives. Mask and gloves have become a social norm for the current health environment, but people always loose and leave items like mask at home, and that would be our selling opportunity.
Our sanitation station engages the audience with the advertisements, entertainment tv, and emergency messages. Based on the geographical location of a kiosk station the advertisement portion would tailor itself to that specific area.
These sanitation stations will address the hygiene needs of staying clean and aware of the local activities with our advertising.
The public mindset and cleanliness are the problems creating the spread of disease (i.e. COVID-19). The YIKES! Sanitation Station will be a constant reminder to stay clean and protect yourself others at all times.
Consider the sanitation stations like STOP signs, you see it you stop. When consumers see a YIKES! Sanitation Station in public areas, it will be a reminder to get a squirt of hand sanitizer, or purchase a mask, or clean and charge their mobile devices, or simply catch up on a current event they didn't know about through the digital screen.
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea
- A new application of an existing technology
The YIKES! Sanitation Station is unique because of its multi-functional uses. The concept has components that stem from many other successful businesses that are currently in use.
- The vending portion of the machine is similar to modern day parking application.
- The advertising side would be similar to the advertising seen at gas stations.
- The free hand sanitizer dispenser is shaped like a water dispenser on a refrigerator
Currently, there are no direct competitors. The largest competitors would be from the advertising side of the business. Organizations like GSTV are direct competitors for digital advertising at the street level, but different because all of there business is at gas stations.
Our YIKES! Sanitation Station projects are uniquely powered by solar and utilizes both digital and manufactured advancements to serve the communities at large.
The kiosk itself would use bluetooth technology to connect with the mobile application wen purchasing the consumables (mask and gloves).
The mobile application has the ability to use gps tracking so consumers can locate the nearest sanitation station kiosk. The mobile application is also employs gig economy workers to maintain the cleanliness of the sanitation stations.
The mobile phone cleaning and charging side of the machine would use ultra-violet light for cleaning.
Our app technology is has similar technological features as the following multi-billion dollar companies: Uber, Lyft, ParkMobile, Google Maps, and others.

In a time where people are ready to get back to normal post quarantine, consumers need reassurance their lives are being protected in every way possible from disease and COVID-19. As the wave of COVID-19 continues to go up and down, the public needs visual proof that institutions are investing in safety for humanity.
The long-term outcome of the sanitation stations is the use and distribution of other items depending on geographical location needs.
As every industry is changing drastically from the COVID-19 pandemic, there are many sources displaying the facts of spikes in the virus when the public is not protected.

Currently we do not serve any communities as the project is in its concept phase. In one year, we expect to serve a minimum of 500,000 to 5 million people. In five years we should be should be extremely international serving over 30 million people.
Over the next year, we expect to hire/contract at least 300 gig economy workers through the mobile application. Based on the distribution level of sales for the kiosk, we expect in a 5 year period of time to have contracted over 30,000 gig economy workers worldwide.
The scalability of the mobile application usage will solely be based on the number of sanitation stations we can sale and distribute around the world. Our business model once becomes recession proof based on the number workers and the amount of product (mask & gloves) we are able to distribute through our sanitation station.
If funded for this project we will immediately move into production and sales phase speaking with governments worldwide and large organizations like the NCAA, NBA, NFL, Disney theme parks, and other event centers to have these kiosk spread throughout major facilities.
The current barrier is financial. After the creation of a prototype, this would be a capital intensive project. The manufacturing of equipment needs to be in high production and distribution. The delivery time and installation time of a sanitation station to any community is key to success.
Our B2B clients would want to have full implementation of their station upon signing an agreement. Also, some will want branded kiosk, and we would custom wrap or powder coat the sanitation stations just like a car.
There could be cultural barriers in developing nations who are not used to using mobile technology. Our directional trend of installing the kiosk would be to exist in cities that do have a heavy population of working class and technology savvy citizens.
We plan to attack the financial barriers by continuing to share the idea with the business community at large. The more presentations we deliver, the greater opportunity we have for others to really see this product and its worth.
Cultural barriers for developing nations, would engaged through investment in infrastructure. The goal would be to help those developing countries with their education and infrastructure to make the common areas of life more sophisticated.
We have not yet identified all of our potential partners, but we are sure to start with governmental agencies and the WHO (World Health Organization).

The YIKES! Sanitation Station has three customer types: the general population (purchasing the consumable items), institutions (purchasers of the physical kiosk), and the advertisers (both local and national).
50% of the recurring revenue would come from the advertising with local and national advertisers. 30% of revenue would come from the actual sale or lease of the equipment. An estimated 20% would come from the sale of consumables (gloves, mask, and other items).
The advertising services are executed through an intellectual property platform managed by the company. If afforded the grant, we would use the funds to negotiate a line of credit to build out a manufacturing plant. The consumables would be provided in the machine for purchase via mobile application.
Institutions would want to purchase the sanitation stations to keep their patrons safe from disease and spread of COVID-19. Advertisers would have visibility at the street level for the public to see.
- Organizations (B2B)
YIKES! Sanitation Station kiosk project will use all avenues to create financial stability for the company. The initial grants will be used as leverage to get business lines of credit.
Pre-orders of the equipment and the sales of advertising are the initial revenue opportunities.
The company will consider a combination of all avenues to maintain financial sustainability.

Partnerships are help to generate more solid ideas for future developments.
We would like to partner with Solve Members and they could give good insight on how to go about certain processes for scaling a health technology company like this one. Other great partners would be universities as they have very large communities and aspiring minds who are currently thinking of solutions for daily challenges.
Regarding marketing, partnering with the right multi-cultural celebrities who can and will share the message of staying healthy.
