OpenMind Nano Neural Network (OMNNN)
Communication between Biobots (organic, evolved nanotechnology made of Hematopoietic Stem Cells) and OpenMind (a novel quantum computer). That is the key to unlocking a pandemic free future.
Before going to a planet you send a probe. We did not do it for the human body. The OpenMind Nano Neural Network (OMNNN) gives the opportunity to quantify and simulate the human body.
Currently it takes $1.4 Billion and 5-10 years to develop, test, and deploy a vaccine. Using a digital twin that is an accurate and exact model of the human, we will drastically reduce the cost needed for testing and the time taken till deployment to within mere weeks.
Other than hugely benefitting the medical industry in areas of vaccines and genetic engineering, OMNNN is the key to evolving humanity to survive the imminent 6th Mass Extinction.
You just need to be willing to turn the key. No more pandemics.
Time and accuracy are crucial when developing and deploying drugs and vaccines. Currently average vaccine or drug deployment takes 5-10 years costing $1.4 billion USD.
The COVID-19 virus proves that viruses will mutate and return. It is not feasible to put the Earth on hold because we are not ready with contingencies.
The global scientific/medical community currently has time and data constraints on determining cellular information. This limits the response (and perhaps cure) of current and future pandemic.
When planning to go to a new planet you first send a probe. Currently we explore the human body through trial-and-error, a still mysterious dimension, without knowing the exact inner workings. As viruses mutate and become more immune to cures, we will need precise information and the ability to predict model data derived from the cellular level, to be able to understand and map the human body to fight the virus. We can then predict the effect of the virus on the human body so as to effectively terminate it.
Another major problem it solves is the banning of genetic engineering of the human because it is perceived as unethical while it has the potential to greatly strengthen the human immune system.
Creation of a neural network between Biobots (genetically engineered organic nanotechnology) and OpenMind (quantum mind) to create predictive models of the human body. OMNNN integrates quantum prowess and evolved nanotechnology to speed up drug development and deployment and enable genetic engineering.
Biobots exist as a suite. General Biobots measure parameters of blood pH, mineral % and oxygen % in blood. Specialised Biobots have specific functions according to their body region for example Brain Biobots measure adrenaline levels.
Biobots’ exploration will complete our knowledge of the human body enabling addition via programming of newly learnt parameters. All Biobots use echolocation to map their environments. Biobots can swim in blood. Specialised Biobots remain in a specific region of the body while general Biobots flow throughout the bloodstream.
Biobots communicate their recordings to a wristband, via Internet of Sound, which transmits it to OpenMind, via the Internet, which converts each data set into a model then comparing with models of users with the same age, gender, and ethnicity. A standardised model is created while user models are encrypted and saved to their profiles on OpenMind. Standard models compile to form the digital twin of humans of the same age group, gender and ethnicity.
The target population are the rural, peri-urban, urban, poor, low income, and middle income. I have been working with Vicharta Samuday Samarthan Manch for over a year, who serve the Nomadic Tribes and Denotified Community (NT-DNT a.k.a migrant workers) in rural, peri urban and urban areas of Gujarat.
Whilst working to better the lives of the NT-DNTs, I observed that when the lockdown in India began, the tribes were adversely affected due to loss of daily wage and inability to practice social distancing in slums. I engage with VSSM and their field staff to understand details of the impact of the pandemic and provide logistic support.
I realised that the biggest blow was due to the long duration of lockdown which emptied their savings.
OMNNN is a tool that will better all of humanity’s lives but its direct and biggest impact will be on the underprivileged who do not have the resources to survive for months in a quarantine by:
Early detection will ensure patients have a head start to cure the disease.
Vaccines and cures will be released earlier due to virtual in-vivo and end-to-end in-silico drug discovery.
Pandemics can be handled better and significantly less people will suffer.
The problem of excess time being spent on finding cures to disease, and lack of communication between governments and the medical community leads to late response to pandemics.
The solution of early drug deployment through virtual in-vivo and open communication enabled by OMNNN allows for early and successful detection and response.
Once developed it will be one of the most potent tools in dealing with health security threats well before they evolve into pandemics.
Our solution removes from the human lexicon the word “pandemic”.
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea
- A new application of an existing technology
Nanotechnology is being developed as a temporarily used tool where specialised nanobots - PillCam, Vibrant Capsule, Dose Tracking Pills, etc - are made out of inorganic substances. This inherently describes that these nanobts will be unable to survive in the body for long periods of time since the immune system will recognise them as foreign substances and attack them.
Quantum computers are used to analyse chemicals and conduct virtual tests to find prospective cures.
At the intersection of these two technologies lies my solution. Nanobots that are organic thus accepted by human immune systems, evolved and programmed with the single function of data collection inside the human body. This data is freely available to all so as to better compile it and create a virtual human- uniting researchers across the globe.
Some may argue that by simply mapping the DNA we can simulate the human however, other than creating a digital twin which accelerates in-vivo, the system also allows for at-home monitoring of patients. The COVID-19 pandemic proved that hospitals do not have the resources to monitor all infected.
Instead of spending more money and resources on expanding hospitals and trying to map DNA, my solution focuses on evolving existing technology.
The Biobots made of HSC can survive for longer periods of time in blood stream since they offer higher resistance to viruses and radiation than embryonic stem cells. They do not interact with the immune system and the body whatsoever. They are only observers. This eliminates chances for GvHD.
Three core technologies are involved:
Biobots: organic nanobots made of HSC, using artificial DNA strands for data storage and with the sole purpose of collecting data inside the body at a cellular level. Through evolutionary algorithms, current organic nanotechnology will be edited to have the capability to record inside the blood. Due to being organic there is no electricity in the Biobots which removes the possibility of nerve damage. Also data is only transmitted from Biobots so they cannot be hacked.
OpenMind: a quantum mind. To deconstruct each term:-
Quantum - quantum computer which instead of being limited to optimisation, focuses on quantum machine learning by analysing the data sent by Biobots and actively building models out of it. For every gender and ethnicity there are 8 different digital twins with age gaps of 10 years starting from the age of 18 to 100.
Mind - With the sheer volume of data that OpenMind will be analysing and standardising, it is with surety that I say that OpenMind will be the first tool to crack accurate predictive analytics; thinking and predicting the reaction of models to different stimuli.
3. Wristband: wearable technology powered by µTEGs relaying data between Biobots and OpenMind. Fitted with 3 LED dots representing the risk level of the patient. More dots light up with increasing risk level. It has Internet of Sound Capability restricted to a one way communication with Biobots. Global Internet Access, allows data to be sent to OpenMind.
The technologies I propose are existing and in use - as follows :
AI and quantum computing is already employed to find vaccines to cure diseases-but they cannot yet test them virtually. Vertex Pharmaceuticals grow human cells in large-scale production to test prospective drugs on. As Moore’s Law for Quantum Computer kicks in, accurate virtual in vivo testing will reduce the time taken for clinical trials from years to weeks.
Many nano-robots have ultrasound capabilities and the most efficient range for communication is between 10MHz-300MHz. This capability has to be transformed from technological to organic.
Dassault Aviation SA has developed and has been using digital twins of aircrafts. The importance of digital twins is understood - however, to create them you need data which is brought by Biobots and compiled by OpenMind.
Apple Watch has a Mini ECG in place to monitor the heart system. Micro Thermal Electric Generators (µTEGs) are developed and in use. North Carolina State University has developed a body heat powered wristband and there are many other designs too. An informative design is available here:https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Structural-design-of-a-wearable-TEG-on-the-wrist-a-cross-sectional-view-of-the-TEG-on_fig4_321225222
The Internet of Sound is employed in various sectors and in the 5 years since its inception has become an exact and secure method of encrypted communication. Starlink Mission ensures global Internet access.
CRISPR advanced in-vivo treats viruses inside the body by modifying it. Genetic editing of humans is still considered unethical. Accurate virtual genetic engineering enabled by OMNNN creates a safe and exact environment to edit human immune systems.

Vasudhaiva kutumbakam - the world is one family. This familial dream is the core of OMNNN and a philosophy that motivates me. To see a virtuous cycle of positivity in effect across the world. Resonating through each citizen of the global village. Evolutions in perceptions and technology are the catalysts for this positivity and for the creativity born from a global togetherness. The era of global collaboration has been debated most frequently but not yet implemented.
OMNNN presents the opportunity to make this positive change permanent.
I believe that the simpler the change the faster it is enacted. OMNNN is the integration of evolved existing technologies.
OMNNN is true Freedom. Based on the concept of Open-Science, it is a platform for global collaboration and equality between citizens of the world, inviting researchers with theories they want to test, and providing them with a platform to generate results on.
OMNNN creates undisturbed sharing of information. Many countries misreport or are not able to estimate exact COVID patients. OMNNN provides a platform for patients to express symptoms openly and find cures rapidly instead of being completely dependent on others.
It will significantly speed up clinical trials, create a practical & affordable early detection system, create more space in hospitals by enabling at-home monitoring and securely open the field of human genetic engineering.
These 4 applications will strengthen the medical industry and the human immune system. Imagine being able to edit extremophiles’ ability to withstand harsh stimuli and embed it into the human body. This will also help humans in adapting to life on new planets.
As Newton’s Third Law of Motion dictates - “Every Action has an equal and opposite Reaction”. Humanity has been moving against Earth, destroying it for the better part of three centuries. Now Earth is reacting against humanity. We may be staring at the 6th Mass Extinction Event in the next two decades.
OMNNN will prepare humanity to fight against future pandemics in a much shorter time frame while evolving humanity to move to other planets and survive as a civilisation.
We need OMNNN to stay alive.

Being Open Science - the world has access to OMNNN through this one link: adibhatnagar.com/openmind
In the first year, once the proof of concept is completed, it will begin serving the organisations we parter with to build the tools of OMNNN - I intend to reach out for partnerships with Google, Microsoft Azure, IBM, Rigetti, Berkley Quantum, Honeywell, D-Wave Systems, Nokia Bell Labs to build OMNNN. In the first year development and fine tuning of OMNNN will begin. It will not be commercialised in the first year.
Within five years, having completed the pilot at scale, it will start serving the whole world saving millions of lives. I plan to build OMNNN in the next four years and have it reach functionality. After that partners will market OMNNN to serve the coming quantum revolution that is predicted to be as impactful as the personal computer of the 1980's.
The longer OMNNN is active and the more people that utilise it, the more data it analyses and the more accurate the digital twins become. This makes it increasingly potent as a tool to eradicate future pandemics resulting from novel pathogens, as they emerge from global warming or accidental mutations.
The tools I propose to develop are :
In the next year : build the prototype of simpler Biobots as scouts that detect the environment inside the body to feed it to the quantum computer, and a prototype of the wristband. The outcome I target is to complete a proof of concept in the laboratory.
In five years : build the software to enable the quantum computer to identify the environments it sees in the data, find intersections and then standardise them as profiles of age, gender, ethnicity. I hope to use IBM’s Quantum Experience and its software. The outcome I target is to conduct a pilot in the field to build human profiles accurate enough to conduct in-vivo.
With such tools, researchers across the globe can do wonderful things viz.
- build further to gradually replace human in-vivo with digital in-vivo.
- embolden researchers to conduct human genetic engineering digitally.
- develop early warning systems for any epidemics and prevent them from developing into pandemics.
Other partners who can use these tools would be :
- insurers to pay to use the data to finely price basis metrics of population.
- banks to pay to use the data (on consent basis) for tailoring financial inclusion products for the target low income population.
The use cases of these tools are limited only by the imagination, and will impact the whole world saving millions of lives.
I see five barriers that need to be overcome with right resources, tools and effort :
Quantum capabilities : It has been theorised by Harvard University’s Wyss Institute that 83 qubits will be required to simulate a single strand of DNA. Considering, OpenMind has to simulate multiple yet smaller pieces of the digital twin we can assume with at least 83 qubits the system will compute its base functions. The biggest barrier is significant time taken in linking and maintaining more qubits.
Xenobots : need to undergo evolutionary algorithms, integrating artificial DNA and editing their genetic code to evolve into Biobots. The main barrier here would be programming HSC and combining it with proteins and fats as its food reservoir and then mass producing them. They will also need to be made affordable.
The Internet of Sound has never been tested inside the human body (70% liquid). Though it works perfectly in liquids, we cannot assume it will function without first conducting tests.
The development of the wristband is less of a barrier as compared to the others since µTEGs already exist. The barriers presented would be developing Internet of Sound and Internet capabilities in it while creating a low cost wristband that is easily affordable for all.
Once the pilot is successful then the people will need to be convinced of intaking Biobots and connecting to OpenMind. Another barrier is convincing researchers that 100% accurate virtual in-vivo will replace clinical trials completely, not requiring a human to test on.
I plan to contact researchers in the areas of quantum computing and of Biohybrids to learn from them and bring the knowledge together - acquiring the resources and tools needed to integrate both these technologies to create OMNNN.
Google’s Sycamore already has 53 functioning qubits so we are already ahead of the halfway marker for base computations of OMNNN. To overcome this barrier I plan to use the time available until 83 qubits are reached to develop Biobots and their network with the wristband. After extensive testing using supercomputers, the Biobots and wristband network will simply need to connect to OpenMind to become a functioning neural network.
To mass produce Xenobots, I plan to use quantum computer powered 4D printers that seal Biobots into patches which are then sold for a token amount.
To make the wristband affordable for all I plan to use Yaoguang Shi’s design of his body heat powered wristband and increase manufacturing to achieve large economies of scale and lower cost.
To convince people of the safety of OMNNN I plan to share results of every test publicly on blockchain and conduct installation processes publicly to showcase its safety along with partnering with banks and insurance companies to offer incentives of financial inclusion to the user. This is only possible once OMNNN is set up.
- For-profit, including B-Corp or similar models
As the developer of the OpenMind Initiative, I am the only person working on the solution. As a 12th Grade student, I am a part-time staff since I also manage school along with OMNNN.
As a person who has been actively involved in working for the less fortunate since the past 7 years, I understand the troubles they face. My love for physics and maths has allowed me to go further into quantum mechanics and explore a new realm where classical knowledge breaks down. After witnessing first hand, the destruction due to pandemics I realised that I can solve this. Prevent future pandemics.
The main factor that allows me to deliver the solution is my determination and love for my OpenMind Initiative that puts me in a position such that I will see it built within the next decade.
I intern at Vicharta Samuday Samarthan Manch to understand how the OpenMind Initiative should be designed and how it can be practically implemented.
I propose the entity as a for-profit technology company (B corp), which facilitates the co-development of the technology, products and the backend for the partners to provide the products and services to the beneficiaries.
The target beneficiaries is the entire population of the world, and the only way they can be served is to make the endeavour sustainable. Wristbands given away free will not be used, and Biobots will be refused to be allowed to be intaken, unless beneficiaries see “value” in wearing the wristband and intake the Biobots, in exchange for the data they provide. And the beneficiaries will need to pay a token amount for the wristband so they wear and value it instead of taking it for granted.
I see this benefit to be “health inclusion” and “financial inclusion” that follow from the data they provide - on a consent basis to balance privacy concerns. The providers of these health and financial products and services would be potential partners viz. Healthcare provider entities, Financial sector entities (banks, insurers) while Governments and community leaders would come together to frame rules of ethical engagement and provision of services & products. It is these partners who make the biobots and wristbands affordable.
Please note that the anonymised data will be available for free to researchers across the globe for R&D purposes, since that is the core purpose of OpenMind.
- Organizations (B2B)
In the initial phase of research and development of quantum technology, production of Biobots, wristbands, etc, I propose to approach potential partners (listed below). This phase will be an investment phase, with “in-kind” capital raised from R&D partners in-form of facilities, people and resources in exchange for equity. I will also raise some grants. Once a Proof of Concept is demonstrated under lab conditions, patient capital from deep pocket venture entities would follow, to enable a pilot at scale. Commercial capital can follow a successful pilot at scale.
Financial sustainability and return on capital invested will emanate from the profit share and/or subscription fee derived from the providers of services (financial & healthcare entities).
Potential partners during the initial R&D phase :
Universities focusing on furthering quantum computers viz. Berkeley Quantum Lab, GeorgiaTech, UIUC and with initiative focused on organic nanotechnology viz. Tufts University and University of Vermont.
Companies creating quantum computers and their supporting ecosystems Google, Microsoft Azure, Rigetti, Honeywell, D-Wave Systems, Nokia Bell Labs. IBM’s Q Experience is a valuable asset to OpenMind since it makes Quantum Computing open to all.
I have stated in more details in the Partnership section of this application.
I have seen the direct impact of poverty the pandemic at close quarter and have been horrified at the havoc it rages on humanity. 2020 has been an extremely difficult year for humanity. We cannot afford to witness more years like it. I believe Solve is the right platform to meet and collaborate with like minded people who have the talent and resources to better Earth and save lives.
I am applying to Solve because I recognise that Solve will give me the visibility to build an access to the right partners, mentoring, and access to intellectual resources to build OMNNN.
- Solution technology
- Talent recruitment
- Board members or advisors
In the initial development phase, to build OpenMind, wristbands and Biobots, I would need technology partners and R&D labs with resources in integrating and evolving existing technologies. I would also need the appropriate advisors who can mentor and guide me periodically.
I would like to partner with Google, Microsoft Azure, IBM, Rigetti, Berkley Quantum, Honeywell, D-Wave Systems, Nokia Bell Labs in creating OpenMind. It will be a collective effort since we will be building a quantum mind that can think and innovate. Furthermore I would like to partner with Tufts University and the University of Vermont to evolve and code Xenobots transforming them into Biobots.

Before even hearing about Solve, I was working with VSSM - a national, Presidential Award winning NGO. There I served the Nomadic and De-Notified Tribes(NT-DNTs). These were the people who have no identity. Their artisan skills are obsolete. In a situation with no income whatsoever the NT-DNTs started selling drugs and alcohol. However, the women led a rebellion and removed criminal business from their homes. This left them the only option of seasonal businesses and help from the government and from VSSM to survive.
To improve their lives I had designed a 5-week course to build an incubator for the women so they could build and run their own micro-enterprises. I taught them soap making as an initial enterprise. However, as the COVID-19 pandemic hit, India went for an extended lockdown, erasing their savings and landing them in debt. Absence of social distancing in their slums are causing havoc. Vaccines and drugs are years away.
That is why I pursue OMNNN. To ensure no more suffering caused to millions because of late-response to pandemics.
I plan to use the Elevate Prize mainly for the received support and to further my outreach to the partners required to build and assemble the OpenMind Initiative. For months, I have been engaging researchers, VSSM, and experimenters to make OMNNN as feasible and effective as possible.
