Tracking Wristband

The purpose of "TW" project is to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic spread by keeping people from leaving the house for unnecessary purposes! Each individuals would have to register in the digital system to receive the wristband with a unique printed tracking-number. The tracking-number is linked to  the date, time, and the reason why the wristband owner needs to leave the house, which must be updated int the system before going out. While outside, people are obligated to wear these wristbands, the tracking-numbers can then be checked by the officers-in-charge if necessary, and penalties can be issued, if the officer finds the reason not essential enough, or finds the information to be false.

This data source can also be used to identify the main reasons people go outside during the pandemic. Proper solutions can then be provided by the authority to address these needs to prevent residents from leaving homes.

Covid-19 pandemic is the most important global crisis nowadays, and has affected the people all around the world in many different aspects like economy, health, education, travel, etc. Besides, the most significant consequence the pandemic has had is the death of so many people worldwide. Since there is no vaccine or medicine yet discovered for prevention and cure of Covid-19, the best way to combat this virus is to practically stop or slow the spread of the virus in the society. We believe that the pandemic can be effectively controlled by reducing the frequency and the duration people leave their houses. It is impossible to enforce people to stay in their places and not leave their premises at any time as many of them have necessary reasons to do so, but, a good portion of the commutes outside are not essential. Our solution is to encourage people to avoid leaving their homes due to unnecessary reasons as much as possible.

The solution is user-friendly, can be implemented anywhere in the world, irrespective of the culture, country, economy, and any other factors. Our proposal considers the entire people all around the world, hopefully resulting in saving many innocent lives! 

Our solution is to introduce methods to track those who want to make trips outside of their homes, hoping this could potentially avoid unnecessary commutes during Covid-19 pandemic! We propose to provide each individual with a tracking wristband which is compulsory to wear while outside. To obtain the wristband, each individual needs to register into a digital database with some required information like their name, address, etc. The wristbands can be either mailed to their place or be provided to them electronically which can then be printed out. Each wristband comes with a unique tracking-number, which exclusively identifies its owner and contains the date, time, and the reason why that person is planning  to leave home, which needs to be updated in the system each time before going out. The officer-in-charge will then have the ability to check any person’s wristband’s tracking number, if necessary, by  just scanning it into the system. If the officer finds the trip/commute purpose unnecessary or false, charges can be pressed. 

Our approach could also provide scientists with data-points to discover solutions addressing people's needs, resulting in preventing unnecessary commutes which could effectively reduce their chances to be exposed to Covid-19 virus during this pandemic. 

The target population in this proposal is the entire people all around the world. Obviously, coronavirus pandemic is now the most significant global crisis which has affected almost everybody's life. Human race is doing its best to survive this pandemic, stay safe and minimize the losses.

Since there is not any specific vaccine or cure yet discovered for Covid-19, one of the most practical solutions to save as many human lives as possible is to incorporate social distancing, as well as staying at home orders into societies. In this solution, we try to minimize the frequency  people leave their homes to take care of their essential needs, by enforcing them to submit their reasons for leaving their place before doing so, keeping track of these submitted info, as well as creating datasets out of these data, and delivering them to scientists for further analysis.

Every single person is involved in this project, as they have to register online to receive their tracking wristband, which is linked to their live updates including where and why they are planning to leave their home in this critical pandemic. 

Covid-19 is the latest pandemic resulting in a global crisis. Our solution introduces an infrastructure in place that directly addresses the global health in an efficient manner. It is essential to have any solution proposed to be implemented all across the globe due to the highly contagious nature of this disease. Our target population in this approach includes all the people in the world which is well aligned to this global challenge. The more societies incorporate this solution, the more effective it could be. We aim to beat coronavirus pandemic by saving human lives using trackable social-distancing and stay-at-home directives.

The innovation that we have applied to this project is tracking people's purposes for getting outside of the house, to be able to minimize the frequency  people  leave their homes to take care of their needs, using trackable wristbands. We are proposing a compulsory to wear tracking wristband while outside, which is linked to each individuals profile, demonstrating the date, time, and the reason why the wristband owner needed to leave the house. 

the tracking numbers can then be checked by the officers in charge at any time if deemed necessary, and penalties can be issued, if the officer finds the reason not necessary enough (with respective to the orders and directives in-place by the state, city or the federal government at the time) or finds the information to be false. 

Please note that we are not proposing that law-enforcement officers would have to check every single person’s wristband but we believe the presence of such an infrastructure in the society could lead to the reduction of unnecessary trips made by the people outside their houses.

Our solution provides a digital system connected to tracking wristbands, to track an individual’s purpose to get out of the house in Covid-19 pandemic. Each individuals would have to register in the digital system to receive the wristband with a unique tracking number printed on it. The tracking number (or any other identification means of the wristband such as RFID, tag number, etc.)  is linked to  the date, time, and the reason why the wristband owner needs to leave the house, this info must be  entered into the system by the person before him/her leaving the house.

The digital system is the main database in our solution which can be accessed anywhere in the world, by only scanning the tracking number into the system.

Our proposed approach could also provide scientists/analysts with enough user data points which could then be used to discover solutions addressing the major needs enforcing people to leave their places. As a result, proper solutions and services can then be provided using artificial intelligence, ANFIS, or any other machine learning algorithm to address these identified needs in a more efficient manner such as establishing temporary pharmacy stores in certain areas with higher demand to prevent the residents from traveling long distances or even prevent them from leaving their places and effectively reducing their chances to be exposed to the Covid19 virus, etc.

We try to go on social media, introducing and explaining our project, and how it could potentially save lives all around the world in Covid-19 pandemic. It is essential to have universities, organizations, and companies all around the world involved in this challenge as much as possible, due to the highly contagious nature of this virus. Therefore, our target population in this approach includes all the people in the world, and we try to absorb people as much as possible in this challenge to beat this pandemic. 

We are working voluntarily on this project, and the number of members at the moment in this project is two people. 

Our team consist of civil and electrical engineers, all graduated with Ph.D. The civil engineer member of our team defines the business model for this project, and how this model could be improved with the contributions of different organizations. The electrical engineer member of our team takes over the data-driven and neural network models, and how efficiently these models could be used in the main digital data source.

The person in charge for the this presented solution is a female, and this could be a strong reason why this prize would be worthy to us. We could use this prize to help save lives of so many female all around the world, in honor of Innovation for Women Prize.
