COVID-19 pandemic
Whereas, the developed ECG electrodes and super hydrophobic masks may be potential candidate for disposable used by the medical staff, nurses and doctors. There is higher risk of disease transmission from an infected person to another human host i.e medical staff and caretakers. Similarly, the proposed prototypes will reduce the cost of expensive ECG electrodes as well as development of disposable surgical masks instead of expensive masks, such as DIY, M-25, and N-95 mask. the proposed work also assists in the development of ECG, EMG sensors and breathable masks for novel CoVid-19. The disease is transmitted with direct or indirect transmission of fluids in the air during sneezing, and coughing by the infected person. Therefore, we proposed graphene as novel material for the fabrication of Nonwoven PP fibers for ECG electrodes, EEG Electrodes and breathable masks, similar to surgical mask, which could benefit, patients, doctors, staff, and common peoples.
The developed fabric can potentially be reused after thermal and chemical sterilization. as the developed personal protective gears are highly, flexible, stretchable, bendable, breathable which is basic requirement of the patients, and common people. As, most of the care takers, professionals are also becoming the victims of this virus, which is due to the direct or indirect contact with an infected person. Foremost, problem associated with the patients, that the infected person has breath ability problem, which could not wear a common mask, surgical mask and special N-95 Mask, for caretakers and hospital staff.

- On the other hand, the highly efficient surgical masks (N-95) are complex structures which cause breathing problems in patients and if not recommended may cause transmit of disease from person to person.
Therefore, we proposed graphene as novel material for the fabrication of Nonwoven PP fibers in this concept ready research work, on mass scale production of PP-fibers for ECG electrodes, EEG Electrodes and breathable masks, similar to surgical mask, which could benefit, patients, doctors, staff, and common peoples.
The work has been studies on basic level, and analysed on commercialization stage, even though work need certain time to mature, but due to the current epidemic CoVID-19 situation, there will be greater loss of human life, doctors, and professional working in all areas of everyday life, which directly or indirectly come in contact with infected peoples.
Keeping in view, the current situation of the globe in general and Pakistan in particular, we will try our level best to launch as soon as possible our prototype on real time health monitoring and safety with such a super hydrophobic, breathable, and washable mask to meet the market demand of masks.
The research work is applied research, which could potentially be adopted within 12 months, after processing of all necessary activities of the proposed work on urgent basis due to the current situation of the world and country.
The proposed research work, is based on the industrial scale mass production techniques for the design and development of washable, breathable non-woven polypropylene. The initiative has been taken to further extended the basic research, based on the synthesis, functionalization and characterization by means of (cold oxygen plasma) and chemical modification of the nonwoven pp fibers for better understanding and potential utilization indeed. The work already been developed and accomplished the early stage of the conduct, which further needs critical consideration for commercialization and product (Prototype design) for specific use.
The work is now at the applied research level, which could potentially benefit the industry, and social by introducing our product on mass scale and fruitful to well articulate and address the problems associated with current epidemic situation of novel CoVID-19 as challenge to the world in general and country in particular.
The current situation is really challenging for policy makers, government and NGOs around the globe. Everyone is taking all the
necessary preventive measures and (SOPs) against the spread of the novel virus as a critical situation.
No, doubt that, the human life is on highest risk, due to the virus threat, announced social distancing, and lock down announced for several weeks in different countries around the world.
Such initiatives, which are influencing the individuals life in several aspects such as food scarcity, production, industry, business, in general and overall economy of the countries in particular.

The available masks are not as suitable for protection and spread of Covid-19, due to less comfort, and transport of bodily fluids, which may cause spread of virus.
The graphene coated masks and disposable medical (ECG, EEG, and EMG) kits would be favorable for breathing response, pulse rate and heart beat detection of patients with a reduced risk against the spread of virus.
The Product and process development are quite unique as compared to avialable technology, methods and materials. We assure, there would be very few or less competitors in recent pandemic situation.
The developed prototypes as a business model as an innovative idea, it would be highly efficient and effective process and product development as compared to available technology such as N95-Masks, in terms of cost, productivity and performance.
The newly developed prototypes (medical devices) would also be used as seed technology to sustain the higher temperature annealing and sterilizing for reuse, and biodegradability after disposal as waste problems.
Furthermore, the idea would potentially meet the requirements of customers with affordable price, and performance with higher production rate.
Last but not least, the graphene based wearable, masks, fabrics, and medical kits would be self cleaning, and sustainable approach for future use and growth of any pandemic un-certain situations.
The production of such wearable personal protective gears is challenging due to low production, reuse, sterilizing, and disposal. The newly developed masks can be widely used, as receiving greater significance, in recent years. As most commonly used and commercially available masks are less capable to protect from the spread of bodily fluids, during coughing, sneezing, and talking.
The developed graphene masks, would be highly super-hydrophobic (Water repellent) properties would be anticipated. The prototypes has already been introduced recently for potential use of non-woven polypropylene masks, which could have great challenge, to stake holders, developers, and producers in recent years.

The second foremost challenge is the marketing planning, and advertising o accomplish the awareness and practical use of the developed prototypes for real time health monitoring and practical end uses.
There would also be certain challenges towards adoption of the technology, proposed work, material and methods in terms of qualitative, quantitative and cost effectiveness.
The adopting of proposed medical personal protective gears during performance analysis would also be challenging due to legal permission, authenticity of the proposed prototypes in current pandemic situation, due to the unavailability of raw material, manpower and supply of goods and services to research the customers.
Las but not least, the funds raising and support from the government, NGOs, banks, and other financial institutions.
The perspective challenges would be overcome or reduced by strategic financial planning, projection and process development with utilization of available resources, manpower, material and methods. The availability of financial institutions to facilitate the aids for practical implications of the proposed research for real time health monitoring of patients, workers, common people related to all areas of every day life. The propose research work has been developed and initial research work has been accomplished are practically implemented for biomedical and health monitoring to design and develop such prototypes for practical use in current pandemic situation of Covid-19. The research institutions, partners, collaborative research organizations, industrialists and financial banks, and government sector, private and public stake holders, and investors.
