HITAM

HITAM is an application for identification and management of high risk areas in a public areas like hospitals,Malls, etc.The application has three important functionalities.

1. Identification of High touch areas are objects and spaces that are most frequently touched by hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
2. Training of the environmental service employees (EVS) to identify high touch areas before engaging in the act of cleaning.
3. App assisted cleaning HITAM is the front line in the fight against hospital infections as they fight to stop the transfer of microorganisms. HITAM allows to evaluate and improve the expertise of environmental service personnel. By virtue of this ,HITAM can be used for both recruitment and training of environmental service personnel in hospitals as well

High-touch areas can include doorknobs, arms of reception area chairs, elevator buttons, stair railings, common area telephones, restroom surfaces, coffee pot handles or dispensers,water cooler handles etc. These areas are high risk areas which can potentially spread the microorganisms  to the people who come in contact with them.

HITAM focuses on the identification of high touch areas in a patient room for instance (use case) with the goal of reinforcing key areas to pay attention to during the cleaning process.In the first step, HITAM will be developed using existing hospital lay out, equipment, beds, batch rooms etc.High touch areas will be identified and fed into the system. Based on identification of high touch areas, appropriate signs can be posted for visual reference for cleaning personnel and others alike Secondly as the personnel clean the specific areas, The app (mobile device carried by personnel) can voice out "high touch area" check list for quick reference and to ensure all the high touch areas are covered appropriately. The app can identify if personnel have spent appropriate time for cleaning the specified area and can be integrated with surveillance systems to see if the high touch areas are attended to by the Cleaning staff. HITAM is a complete solution for Identification of High touch areas Map High Touch areas Train Environment personnel, Test personnel, Assist personnel, Monitor cleaning compliance.The High touch areas shall be marked with stickers like "high touched surface"  and  "this surface is cleaned with high focus" 

HITAM helps to bring awareness on hi touch areas in public places. HITAM helps cleaning staff to be observant of their working environment and the importance of their job. 

HITAM addresses one of the core elements of the challenge ie. bringing awareness to the public on possible sources of contracting infections and provides a solution by enabling cleaning staff to pay particular attention to such areas.

HITAM is a novel concept which has features that would significantly augment Health security.

HITAM would  be developed based on machine learning principles to detect  and alert in case of improper cleaning of Hi touch areas. Thus this application would help in bringing technology for the safety and security of humanity.

HITAM is a novel concept which has features that would significantly augment Health security in public areas. I believe this is in line with Peoples prize aspiration.
