In current scenario, each year we face new infectious diseases having no proper medication & they spread globally due to no counter drugs and poor immunity. Whole world are fighting with COVID-19. It was observed that, it is more dangerous for them who has poor immunity. Hence, need to improve immune systems globally. COVID-19 bring attention towards urgent need of herbal formulated drugs for boosting immune systems. Keeping the contemporary problems an attempt could be made. The problems could be solved by doing extensive survey among the tribal communities to get knowledge on the plants used as immune boosting agents followed by selection of plants and evaluation of their responsible metabolites. A value addition could be done with branding and marketed globally or somewhere free of cost through funding with local NGOs. Additionally, awareness programs on infectious diseases and importance of immunity will be carried out for desired outputs.
Infectious novel microbial infections are killing the human beings and spreading all over the world. Biodiversity loss, pollution, environmental degradation, mal practices of medicines, anthropogenic activities, bad food habits lead to develop novel virus. Due to lack of proper research, antimicrobial resistance & medications, they became pandemic. Poor immune systems boost them and old age or who has poor immunity easily became host of novel pathogens. In present scenario, whole world facing COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, Ebola virus, Zika, Dengue, H1N1 Influenza, MDR-TB, M/XRR-TB etc including microbial resistance and impacts of climate change. The above mentioned problems become more dangerous if you have poor immunity. Hence, all above facts indicate that there is urgent need to enhance the immunity and health. For this it is right choice to screen the wild plant based nutraceutical having immune boosting potential to create a preventive defence mechanism against known and future infectious diseases through improve immunity globally using a products developed in remote areas scientifically.
Wild plant nutraceutical are the major sources to improve immune systems in safe way. They boost the immunity led to prevent from viral and bacterial diseases. Hence, in current situation where whole world facing different types of microbial infections, need to develop first line of defence as a strong immunity through taking herbal products having immune booster potential. Hence the solution will be formulation of a new immune boosting products from traditional knowledge through value additions, branding and marketing globally in nominal charges or free distribution under any grant through NGOs.
The value addition of selected immunue boosting agents will manufactured scientifically in remote areas of India. The rural and tribal people will engeged in the work and get sustanable life through economic and sound health. The byproducts will be available in nominal cahrges and purely organic. The branding and marketing with the help of block levels and NGOs will help to improve immunity globally. The programs on awarness on helth and products will improve their life style.
The solution is directly related to target population and challenge. COVID-19 or other novel infectious diseases create more problems to whome has poor immunity. The infectious diseases are more dengerous in remote areas. They have lack of knowledge and poor economic strenght. Hence, the sollution is directly related to target population and challenge where whole world are going towards organic products.
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea
- A new business model or process
The solution will provide a sound health in remote areas will give economic upgradation
The whole world asking organic products hence using old Ayurveda, have made products for a better health better environment
Literature showed that wild plants have potential to maintain homeostasis of the immune systems and they enhance resistance to microbial infections (Kang & Min 2012). Haddad et al. (2005) documented that natural health products can help in modulation of immune functions and prevention of chronic diseases. In the year 2007, Zhai et al. reported on enhancement of innate and adaptive immune functions by Echinaceae species whereas Kang and Min (2012) reported the Immune boosting potential of Panax gienseng. In the year of 2014, Lin et al. documented the antiviral natural products and described that bioactive compounds present in Scrophularia scorodonia, Artemisia annua, Lindera aggregate etc might be useful against Corana virus. Janthan et al. (2015) documented the importance of plant-derived immunomodulators whereas in the year 2018, Xiao et al. established the relationship between medicinal plants and immunological regulation. Recently in 2020, Anywar et al. documented that medicinal plants are used by herbalists for boosting immunity in people living with HIV/ AIDS in Uganda. The above information revealed that wild plant based nutraceutical/pharmaceutical can boost the immunity and act as first line of defence against viral & bacterial infections. From literature, it was observed that very few plants are reported as immune booster plants. Hence need a structural survey cum lab work in alarming rate to fight against antimicrobial resistance & novel infectious disease
