TrackNTrace
Mission statement:
“Preventing the spread of Covid-19 (and other viral infections) through effectively enabling contact-tracing systems, positively affecting lives of millions across the globe.”
Problem Statement:
How to prevent the spread of Covid-19 (coronavirus) infections throughout the globe?
"The coronavirus (covid-19) epidemic is well-recognized as both a global health crisis and an economic one. This novel virus has directly shifted the status quo of organisations and societies alike, identifying huge gaps in our global health infrastructure.
However, in order to mitigate the adverse effects of this highly-infectious virus, and the status quo that yields as a result, we should attempt to turn this widespread calamity into a resolve.
The current statistics indicate that as of today 937,941 cases of this virus have been confirmed across the globe, despite border shutdowns. Moreover, national emergency and crisis plans have been announced to further address this pandemic.
As we are witnessing today, government's nation-wide efforts include initiatives such as lockdowns, social distancing, public awareness campaigns, and more.
Nonetheless, societies are remaining entirely reactive to the announcements and changes taking place on a macro-level. This leaves them stranded among a mess they have inherited.
Solution:
In order to tackle the problem of Covid-19 (coronavirus) head-first, we hope to develop a fully scalable application called 'TrackNTrace' that directly focuses on the root of the problem: infectious spread.
"TrackNTrace is a user-friendly application that smartphone-users can safely register on in order to effectively contact-trace people they have been in close proximity to; this essentially helps break the cycle of infectious Covid-19 (coronavirus) spreading through viral logic.
In order to do so, TrackNTrace uses highly-enabling, BTE bluetooth beacon technology to help identify potential Covid-19 cases, and effectively contact trace them in order to mitigate the risk of further spread.
The functional requirements of this application is simple and include the following:
•Smartphone Wifi/Bluetooth GPS-enabling technology
•IOS/Android App Store access
•Mobile number
Given the support of the MoH and other service providers TrackNTrace will help:
•Relieve pressure on healthcare front-liners and the police task-force using a simple, user-friendly application that contact traces possible cases of infection.
•Re-enable supply chains throughout the economy, facilitating nation's economic growth on the long-run.
•Protect the overall well-being of the nation through risk prevention, aversion, and mitigation.
•Allow the general population to get involved by supporting governmental initiatives.
•Create further stability in the healthcare system in the current (and future) crisis situation(s).

Our business model is simple and involves crowd-sourced funding.
In other words, we gauge the interest of key decision makers and assess if they would like to invest in the application.
Most these decision makers work in the public sector i.e the government. This is due to the fact that this is purely a humanitarian application developed in attempt to help save lives.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
In this idea, I believe that the path to financial sustainability is as follows:
Cover the initial risk amount for capital investment ------>
Sustained donations and grants for further development ------>
Application advertisement revenue
With MIT solve, I believe we can make the source code completely free and available for governments interested in this feature.
- Product/service distribution
- Funding and revenue model
Using artificial social intelligence, we can help front-liners in a well-streamlined manner.
We can also, to a certain degree, re-engineer human behavior in a way that helps keep them safe at all times.
