Open Community Foundation Against VIRUS
In the fight and prevention of the global pandemic COVID-19, Open Community Foundation wish to buy sanitizers and soap for women in our nearby village especially for those who go to local markets to sell and buy commodities so that they can practice hand washing everyday or whenever they come back.
Aware that Uganda is now having confirmed cases of COVID-19, and over 100 people are under quarantine, as well as others who came from Dubai have been suspected to be victims according to the ministry of health Uganda and have gone in different places of the country It is now panic all over the country and most people especially women who go daily to market places to sell or buy daily bread for children stand a high risk of catching the viruses.
Currently the project will be focusing at ending or fighting or preventing COVID-19 which is now a global health problem.

It is among these reasons and panic and the uncertainty situations and the vulnerability of our people that anything can happen. Sometimes it is inevitable to find yourself in a situation that will end up putting your life down but we try as much as we can to help our people and ourselves as well.
Sensitizing Communities, awareness giving, information giving, testing and providing sanitizers, soap and any tools and kits as well as masks and gloves that protect people.
Local women, children, youth and other members of the community.
They are vulnerable because of their too much work and moving around.
This project will carry the following activities; 1. Sensitizing people on Coronavirus using a mobile public microphone, 2. Giving information to people in their homes, 3. Buying sanitizers for people 4. Buying and installing drums/containers in collections or market entry points, 5. Buying masks for covering mouth and nose 6. Radio talk show to reach many Communities 7. Monitoring and Evaluation of the activities.
Isaac Mbusa and other 2 staff of the organization in support of the village Heath teams (VHTs) as village volunteers will ensure that this project is well implemented.
