Sodium - Social distance unto medicos

Social distance and self isolation are the crucial practices that prevent the spread of COVID-19 spread. But this may not be applicable to doctors and health care workers, who need to be in contact with patients. This increases doctors infection rate and we hear news of doctors' death in news.

My application tries to reduce doctor-patient contact as much as possible and infection rate. especially in COVID19 temporary hospitals that handles patients in large numbers with minimal or no IT infrastructure.

Sodium is a server application that can be deployed in our daily laptop or Raspberry pi. it has chat feature and patient record management feature. patients, doctors, nurses and other health care workers can connect from their browsers and their daily BAU can be carried out inside hospital without meeting each other, unless necessary (Social distance inside hospital).

This computer application tries to reduce doctor-patient contact as much as possible and infection rate. especially in COVID19 temporary hospitals that handles patients in large numbers with minimal or no IT infrastructure.

Sodium is a server application written in Java that can be deployed in our daily laptop or Raspberry pi. it has chat feature and patient record management feature. patients, doctors, nurses and other health care workers can connect from their browsers and carry out daily BAU inside hospital without meeting each other, unless necessary (Social distance inside hospital).

* It requires no special infrastructure

* No end user installation, anybody can connect from their browsers

Target population: Health care workers

My app will provide a platform for communication among patients and health care workers and a data storage management system where medical records can be stored for easy and quick reference.

Thus, reducing contact between them and I am imposing the practice of social distance withing hospital and reduce health care workers' infection and death rate.

Alignment:

The app I developed (Sodium) will impose social distancing as a solution among my target community (Health care workers) who face the challenge of increasing infection rate and death rate due to COVID19.

My app's functionality can be compared with existing technologies like Apache http server, Tomcat server, WAMP server.

But these app depends on other 3rdparty for its individual functions. for example MySQL for database operations and PHP for server side operations etc.. and use lots of space and boot time. in simple words, they are heavy and not suitable for non-technical general public's direct use.

Different from these existing technologies,

• My app has NO 3rd party dependencies.
• It has its own cutomized implementation of HTTP
• It has its own data storage management systems(to replace Databases).
• It is very light weight which can be started with double click in 2 seconds.
• Can be deployed in Raspberry pie or our daily laptop
• Easy to use UI

My app is written in Java and runs on JVM to support multi platform

JQuery - for better UI performance

Using my app will allow doctors to connect with patients without physical connect. This will intern reduce infection rate of doctors and their death rate on COVID19.

Thus, we will have more doctors to work and help humanity to eliminate COVID19 out of earth.

My app has been cloned by 12 people across the world so far from github.

My app will serve until social distancing is important for health care workers.
