UpSkill
The 21st century skills you need for job-hoping your way to success.
Status quo:
In today's world, careers are no longer like a ladder, but rather like a jungle, so young people must be prepared to job-hop their way to success. However, given the volatile job market, youths need the transferable skills that will allow them to pivot with ease from one job to the next, without any issues.
Problem:
Unfortunately, educational institutions across the world remain oblivious to the disruption brought forth by technology, and they fail, in some cases miserably, to equip their students with the transferable skills that will allow them to remain relevant and competitive in today's volatile job market.
Solution:
Online/offline trainings to equip young people (15-25 years old) with the transferable skills they need to job-hop easily and transition successfully from one career to the other. In other words, preparing students to become comfortable with change and ready for any interview or job application.

My solution is innovative, because there aren't any systemic solutions to upskilling young people in Eastern Europe, and most of them are oblivious to the uncertainty that awaits when they will enter the world of work.
Online workshops:
Some of the workshops will be run online via Google Hangouts.
Online community:
Facebook Groups will be the gathering place for our growing community

Matching each individual with the most suitable career for him/her.
1. Put-together the curriculum based on previous workshops I conducted.
2. Launch a pilot program with the 250 young people part of a mentorship program I run online and with whom I am in touch with (Ask David).
3. Measure potential to scale the initiative across Romania and perhaps even to neighboring Bulgaria where I already have contacts working in the field.
The solution is 100% scalable as the need to upskill young people and prepare them to change jobs is increasing. So, I plan to partner with companies and educational institutions to conduct more online/offline trainings and equip thousands of youths with the transferable skills they need to be successful.

Online via Google Hangouts and Facebook Groups.
Offline via face-to-face workshops I will conduct with a team of trainers.
None yet, as the solution I propose is still in its ideation phase.
The pilot project I have in mind will serve approximately 250 young people (the Ask David community I mentioned earlier), but in 3 years I plan to reach 10x more people, so around 2500 youths.
I expect to see the effects of the trainings immediately, as they can be easily measured (does the learner have a presence on LinkedIn now, a visual CV, did he/she have interviews lined up, perhaps a job promotion, etc.)

I am applying to Solve in order to add the final pieces to my project, and hopefully find both the mentorship and funds needed to launch it.
I need mentorship, preferably from someone who did something similar in the past (upskilling young people, career guidance, etc.).
