In the community that I live, where I plan to start my program, there are 27,000 unemployed people. There are also 7,607 employer establishments as of 2017. 90.5% of people 25 yrs and older have a high school diploma or higher, only 35% have a bachelor degree or higher. My program can help the smaller establishments grow, while they provide a space for education and experience in their respective fields. For people who are looking for a new career; they can use my program to establish relationships with business owners through various training programs, internships, and apprenticeships. This program would help the many people who do not wish to continue their education after high school or simply can't afford to. 40% of the global population is underemployed. Many countries in the world have double digit unemployment, including the U.S, which has a 13.3% rate as of June 5,2020. Providing support to local businesses, while funding internships and apprenticeships through those businesses will help the communities grow and strive by educating people and giving them the opportunities to start careers of their own.
