Unbounded Spaces Project
- Pre-Seed
We educate, train, & provide opportunities to disabled people in Vietnam and more countries, so they can become self sufficient and most importantly accepted into society.
Providing education, training, & opportunities to disabled people in Vietnam allows us to become self sufficient and most importantly accepted into society. While many deaf, blind, & disabled in developing countries are left to die, http://unboundedspace.strikingly.com helps these people becoming helpful productive, well educated members of society in Vietnam.
Too many individuals that became disabled, often due to the War, are left to fend for themselves or die. We educate, train & give employment to the disabled to help social inclusion, financial autonomy, & develop a better society.
http://unboundedspace.strikingly.com builds on BRAC's Graduation Model of poverty alleviation, specifically for the disabled in developing countries. We provide education, practical training and financial means to live in an Unbounded Space.
We survey communities to identify and help disabled candidates. We provide 3 months of education, 2 months of training & hotel staffing work experience as productive, self sufficient members of society.
Track program participants, employment, & program views. - 350 people, including 45 disabled, participated in our workshops. More watched our tv and news reports.
We track participants, employed and financial earnings. - 45 disabled individuals obtained jobs, self sufficiency and social inclusion.

Disabled in Vietnam usually don't get educated. We educate them personally and through online courses (MOOCs) which are new to Vietnam. We also provide training & employment in hotels.
We introduce MOOCs with personal classes, training programs, internships linked to certificates of completion, and employment.
Anyone can access our videos and websites online. Targeted disabled will be able to attend classes (3 months, then 2 months internships) and participate in our partnering hotels.

We crowd source funded development of a 6 bedroom hotel that educates disabled with MOOCs then employs them earning income to remain self sustainable. The hotel, our products and our staffs earnings from employment help self sustainability.
We are starting with only a few minds and funds. The more minds and funds we get, the faster we can develop hotel rooms for employment and disabled people to become socially accepted.
Internet and MOOCs in general are also limited in rural areas.

We would love MIT minds and funds to help develop and scale our Unbounded Spaces project. Teachers in general in Vietnam are poorly trained in comparison to The Solve Community. Education for the disabled is unheard of outside two organizations, one being ours. Employment for these people is rare and usually impossible outside selling lottery tickets and slave type Labour. We are changing that by developing the online MOOC communities and employment in hotel food and beverage, and room service departments.
