The solution is education and training on both theory and practical. it further emphasizes on helping the students to access start-packs in their area of speciality. it also ensures that these businesses employ each at least 3 people hence reducing unemployment rate. it also encourages drought resistant tree planting which ensures environmental sustainability. once the students complete training, they are asked to grow and plant at least 50 drought resistant trees with the help of government extension workers. they are expected to return and pick their start-up packs for implementation. these students are expected to be members of the SACCO. our IT system is integrated with their telephone contacts for easy communication, mentoring and savings.
Education alone gives them a better understanding of their environment socially and economically. it gives them skills for better work, earnings and incomes.it also enables them make the best use of family planning hence reducing the number of children per family which can be ably managed. it also increases the family income because women can also generate family income. Women can also participate in the family decision making hence reducing the gender inequality gap. this also reduces the poverty level and bridges the income gap between rural and urban. many will gain jobs hence unemployment and crime rates reduced, domestic violence reduced, street kids eliminated. we interacted with them through the district leadership and their needs integrated in the solution.
- Enable small and new businesses, especially in untapped communities, to prosper and create good jobs through access to capital, networks, and technology
The challenges right now are; lack of empowerment, gender inequality, wide gap between the rural and urban, illiterate and semi-illiterate communities mainly girls and women who drop out of school for various reasons. Our dimension is to educate and train these communities to ensure understanding and hands-on skills. then, we help them mobilize the start-up packs which is a big challenge to them to creating businesses. Then we mentor them to successful business growth. we connect them to district agricultural extension workers to help them through the planting of trees which helps them to serve as back-up income. Value Addition
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea
- A new business model or process
It imparts hands-on skills, offers avenue for value addition for communities, it considers interest of marginalized member that is women and youth. it covers more than three MDGS. it has indirect benefits to the community and the country at large. among others
We have a system the will help track the entire operations of our project. The system is connected to every device of the team. Specific information is accessed by specific people who are authorized to access it.
We have national grid for electricity supply, stand by generator and a solar system. it is covered in our budget and planned activities. our product is still under development.

Capital funding and COVID-19 pandemic
I have started by applying to you for capital funding and integrating the COVID-19 requirements in the project proposal.
- For-profit, including B-Corp or similar models
at the moment 7 but when the funding is found we shall have more than 40 staff for the institute and more than 15 for the demonstration farm.
Already we are well educated and with adequate experience and exposure, hands-skills in Business, vocational education and training. We are already submitting proposals for funding to donors, granters and government. we have already purchased the land. we have already technique drawings, some policies. registration of the institute. we have submitted application to the Ministry of Education for licensing. we are constantly in touch with the local district officials who we are going to work together with. We have made an order for the value addition equipment. we have the board in place of a few slots left for the possible funders. We have the IT system in place, among others
We do not have partners at the moment but we have stakeholders e.g. the local leadership, the suppliers of goods and services, Ministry of education in particular BTVET.

Our project is charity and not revenue generating. so, we entirely depend on donors. some donors do not give the entire amount that we need to run. therefore, we have to apply to as many donors as we can to cover the funding gap.
I would like to partner with organisations that are in line with our objectives and who are legal in nature.
The objectives match. the basic requirements for managing the solution are met. the stakeholders are very positive towards the project
I am the innovator. I put forward the interest of women at the top of the agenda.
We need a Vehicle to run our businesses to coordinate activities and to help monitor the students, growth process, among others.
