Rural Remedy
Antibiotics and drugs are used as lot to treat and cure many sicknesses around the world. However, this treatment isn't right for everybody and is quite dangerous it self due to potential side effects. So, Rural Remedy proposes a cure in a way that is more connected to nature. The indigenous people have their own way of healing using nature's finest ingredients that are from herbs and different plants. This is a more safe and healthier way to treat sicknesses in which the body may re-act better. This will greatly impact communities by allowing other options than modern medicine. People that are more delicate in terms of health and need precise treatment, Rural Remedies is a potential option. It allows for the body to be healed without the use of drugs which is great as there will be no artificial substances inserted into the system.
Indigenous communities are often neglected or excluded from society. However, this also makes them the most connected with nature and it's healing properties. In their groups, there are certain people that are healing practitioners which heal others in the tribe. So, they could use this traditional knowledge to heal other as well. This can help indigenous people get a job and be more connected towards society while still remaining within their home. This also allows prevention of unwanted drugs being prescribed and substance abuse. Since healthcare is often expensive and is more curated like a business, Rural Remedy will provide real treatment that comes from the heart and will be a private but alternative solution.
Rural Remedies proposes an app that could potentially help interested customers meet the indigenous healers. It will make accounts that will be separated based of if you are a healer or weather if you are a customer. Within the app, you can make appointments with whichever healer you like and privately make arrangements. It will allow for online money transactions for the appointments and get notes of what was said during the appointment. It's like having a doctor in your phone!
This solution could apply to any Native community. This program is run by those who use and the Rural Remedies just helps regulate it. It profits these communities as they will get a good outlet to use their traditional healing knowledge and possibly pass it on to others. This would also provide jobs to native communities as they are getting paid by the customer to provide healing treatment. This solution addresses their needs as they are more indirectly connected within the society which present more opportunities for them. On the other side, it also benefits the mainstream society as they can have treatment that is specifically targeted at their goal. They will also be able to afford healthcare and take better care of themselves.
- Enable small and new businesses, especially in untapped communities, to prosper and create good jobs through access to capital, networks, and technology
Rural Remedies also applies to the dimension which increases job opportunities and skill development other than the one that has already been selected. Rural Remedies as said before is a user-led program in which healers and people can come together to work towards better health. This increases access to jobs for many people in the indigenous community as healers in which they can really build and specialize in their skill. This also provides better healthcare to those around them and avoids substance abuse as they are using resources from nature.
- Concept: An idea being explored for its feasibility to build a product, service, or business model based on that idea
- A new business model or process
This is a new process as it's individualized healthcare for those who want it. From what has been researched, there is no other program like Rural Remedies. This makes the program innovative as new as it's fresh and definitely a considerable option. This really emphasizes on the fact that drugs don't always have to be the medicine to treat everything. There are many healing properties in modern spices, herbs and wild plants. Not only that, but Rural Remedy can provide mental healthcare as well as it can be a meditative environment. There is more potential and possibility with this program. This allows jobs for this untapped community and career pathways.
The core technology will be an app which will be allows on many types of devices which others can access. The app will have different features like a map, a appointment making feature and a chat so clients can talk to their healers. The map will help users find the nearest healer around them and get in contact. The appointment making feature will have an add-on calendar so that the healer and client can easily coordinate a time for an appointment. This technology is important so the business process can work and healers can get clients. This will be a digital app using software that will be a new application on an existing technology.
As Rural Remedy is a concept, there has been no development of the actual technology as it's still being brainstormed and properly configured. So, there is no evidence available at the moment.

The solution currently serves nobody as it's just a concept. However, if the solution picks up interest and there is a team to help bring it to the works, it could serve a good amount of the population. Within one year the target audience would be around 50 people. Then as it gains more awareness and recognition, the 5 year plan could attract 200 people or such. Since it's an individual based appointment, the time it takes to properly ramp up will be long.
Goals:
-Get partnerships, sponsorship and other deals to get help to get the program running
-Introduce the idea to indigenous communities and society
-Test run to see how the program goes and record
- Not registered as any organization
Currently there are no other members on the team except me, which is why this solution is a concept. However, it could be made a reality with the help of other devoted thinkers.
