Tackling Poverty by Training World-Class Tech Developers

Training 10 million under-employed or unemployed youths in Nigeria with relevant coding & business skills required for guaranteed job placement in local and international start-ups. Providing financial resources & technical guidance for those with innovative start-up ideas, helping them to launch, grow and scale, thereby eradicating poverty by year 2030.

Our startup is committed to driving social and economic prosperity by transforming over 10 million unskilled, poorly equipped & unemployed youths in Nigeria into World-Class tech developers and businesses leaders before the year 2030. 

We will be training young android app developers, iOS developers, business analysts, digital marketers, full-stack web developers, artificial intelligence engineers, VR developer and robotics engineers thereby, helping them become employable or guiding them into starting up their businesses in the thriving tech industry. 

When we scale, we will be ushering in an army of world-class tech developers and software engineers into the thriving community of global tech professionals and enthusiasts working to combat social and economic problems around the world. This would in effect trigger the growth of a vibrant and economically prosperous youth workforce thus reducing global poverty. 

The december 2016 reports from the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics indicates that 18.3 million  of the youth labor force of population 40.16 million are unemployed or underemployed. Key indicators show that they are either ill-equipped or lacked the digital skills and technical competence required to be employed or start a thriving business. This is the problem our solution solves. 

Over 500,000 tech companies are started annually with over 50 million jobs created for skilled tech professionals and Nigeria is not left out of this race. Highly innovative tech companies such as Hotels.ng, piggybank.ng, priceslash.ng, cc-hub, iroko TV and thousands of others have been founded in Nigeria are leading social and economic change with technology. Slots are available for developers but many people are unskilled to meet the growing demands. We will reach out to the young labor force, train them with relevant skills and give them the opportunity to work with these thriving startups or start their own businesses. 

Our target outcome is to have over 10 million well trained, competent, passionate, and globally competitive developers - male and female trained by our organization. 

Young people - those who are formally or informally educated stand to benefit from our solution. 

We intend to train them at our learning center and/or utilize mobile devices to get our training and track their progress. 

Use online tool to track their progress and see if they have completed the training successfully. Certificates are awarded to those who complete the challenge. - 100,000 people in Nigeria should be trained monthly.

Checks will be made to know if each developer followed due process and design an app targeting a specific social or economic challenge. - Participants will be required to develop interactive websites or design apps required to solve different problems.

Companies should be able to clear participants with critical thinking, design and problem solving skills satisfactorily before they can be given their certificates. - Qualified participants will be required to intern at a startup company to hone their skills and understand how it can monetize it.
