Maker League
- Pre-Seed
A nationwide reality TV competition for disadvantaged youths will enable Myanmar to inspire, foster, and nurture Maker culture.
With an archaic education system and lack of opportunities, the learners cannot count on public schools to inspire them to become in their future careers and professions. This will undoubtedly culminate in Myanmar becoming a community of passive consumers rather than active creators, who inspires people to embrace their uniqueness in building their future.
Makers’ League International intends to tell the stories of how the underprivileged students who received monotonous and insipid ways of learning can become creative individuals upon receiving enough opportunities, inspiration, and room to be self-determined.
Our Maker360, one of the pillars of 360°ed, is a start-up makerspace that encourages youth to explore, design, build, and invent. We have techies, engineers, and educators who are passionate about the culture of finding solutions to every problems there is.We call ourselves “Makers.” Makers think independently, develop habits of dreaming big, and making things beyond our dreams.
We believe “Change” comes from within. Through constantly stewing on the habit of making things and the brutal process of iterations, we teach ourselves how to think critically, collaborate harmoniously; More importantly, how to make mistakes and fix those effectively.
The Maker League will reach out to the 5 million regular TV viewers to inspire the whole country to have a Maker mentality by watching the humble participants evolve into independent thinkers, problem solvers, and inquisitive learners.
The participants will undergo a 2-week training where they will be taught 3D modelling and printing, basic programming, and basic engineering concepts to open doors to them for a fulfilling job.

Popular attention received by the TV show will inspire millions to the value of creative and independent thinking. This will transform the learning culture of students, especially the underprivileged youths by leveraging mass media. The participants will be given a national platform for their voices to be heard and gain a fan-base or supporters that they can further inspire.
Continued liberalization of Myanmar's economy sparks a growth of regular TV audience.
