A social network to bring talent, demand and content together

Our pitch:

Solution components:

A social network where the disadvantaged ones can learn new skills via gamification and share best practices and challenges & learn from each other

An online assessment where companies can identify their skill gaps

An match-engine to match the existing talent with the demand

Flow:

Companies take the online assessment and find out their skill gap

Learners: Participate on gamification campaigns and earn certificates & badges

Match making engine: Propose suitable talent to companies based on their assessment results and talent capacity

The problem:

For the disadvantaged youth: Access to content & learning opportunities

Why our solution will solve the problem:

According to a 2013 Talent Shortage Survey conducted by ManpowerGroup, 39% of U.S. employers were having a difficult time filling jobs, and the survey ranked “Skilled Trade worker” as the toughest job to fill
Research findings support that users learning via the gamified tutorial showing increased ability by finishing tasks 135% faster compared to the control group. Additionally the users expressed much higher satisfaction in regards to using the system.
Social network adoption is increasing (Facebook 2 Billion monthly users)

As the technologies exist separately, our aim is to be the first to bring them all together. (Social networking, gamification, online assessment, demand planning)

Why our solution is human-centered:

Our solution mainly aims the the disadvantaged youth and make the otherwise unaccessible opportunities available to them. The same is valid for companies.

Imagine that a young boy - a hidden talent - in Turkey can be hired by a company in us via this platform which is very hard in existing status quo
