Our Solution serves un-employed youths between the age of 18-35 years by providing them with all the necessary information about self employment, low cost investment options, mentor-ship on entrepreneurship through an online app and then offer them low cost credit/capital. We offer low cost credit to identified youths and then apply a small interest. We offer mentor-ship and advisory up to 6 months to ensure the venture goes through the runaway smoothly. The cycle is repeated and then the interest returned and the principal is used to support other youths.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
Our business model generates revenue at small scale through applying a small interest on the credit that we offer. This generates small revenues to run the venture activities. In the long run, we hope the revenue streams will cover the expenses of the venture.
We are applying for this solution so as to reduce un-employment among the youths through promoting self employment. We shall do this through providing adequate information about entrepreneurship, provide advice about low cost investment options, and then provide low cost credit/capital. This solution if funded will benefit 2 million youths in 5 years and yet it has potential to be scaled across the low and middle income countries. This fund will help us reach more youths, provide more low cost credit to many youths, scale our entrepreneurship app to reach more youths, cover our runway costs and hence reach our break even point very fast.
- Product/service distribution
- Funding and revenue model
- Talent recruitment
- Marketing, media, and exposure
We need more youths to join our solution and then increase our revenue hence creating sustainability. We also need more marketing and media engagement so as to reach more youths with our solutions. All these will depend on capital which we currently don't have. This fund will help us achieve more than expected in the above areas.
