6C Education Model App
- Pre-Seed
Our proven 6C Education Model (Childhood, Class, Club, Culture, Civics and Community) delivered on an App. Our model tackles education inequality by providing schools in remote communities (with high proportion of Indigenous students) with affordable access to high quality education.
Our mission is to advance a tectonic shift across the Australian school system by promoting 21st century schooling for all Australians.
Our vision is to ensure that every Australian child, irrespective of their background, attends a school that develops their academic, cultural, creative, sporting and civic potential so they can live fulfilling lives in the 21st Century.
We address education inequality by providing high quality education through the provision of our 6C Education model (Childhood, Class, Club, Culture, Civics and Community). All domains of our 6C Education Model are designed to improve and enrich the education and life prospects of disadvantaged children.
We are developing our 6C Education Model to be delivered through an App. The App would have the capability to store our 6C Education Model, including ready-to-teach DI and EDI lessons, curriculum frameworks, textbooks, student workbooks, domain implementation and operation manuals and teacher training materials.
Delivering our model on an App will increase accessibility, reduce costs (printing and distribution), reduce school start up times and pre-planning requirements, and improve the model’s scalability. It will also provide an opportunity for students who largely have no access or limited access to technology – with a chance to use it on a daily basis. By exposing students to technology on a daily basis they will become confident users of technology and will develop the new kinds of literacy required to stay relevant in the 21st century.
Our solution will:
- Close the achievement gap between socially advantaged and disadvantaged students.
-Reduce the disparity in education resources between schools (which is greater in Australia than in many developed countries)
- Reduce the considerable digital divide in Australia. In general wealthier, younger, more educated and urban Australians experience greater digital inclusion. The digital divide risks deepening existing social, economic and cultural inequalities
- Increase the preparedness of disadvantaged / marginalised groups to participate in the 21st century job market
We support schools to deliver effective instruction. The body of education research shows that explicit instruction techniques far outweigh other pedagogical approaches in achieving student outcomes.
One of the biggest challenges for remote schools is attracting and retaining quality teachers, which impacts education in these schools and the continuity of a curriculum and teaching methodology. Our App would allow teachers to deliver the curriculum much more effectively and provide an individualised learning environment for each school, teacher and student.
Our aim is to support Australian education systems and communities to help their schools successfully deliver 21st century programs. These programs focus on three important practices commonly found in high performing systems: Great teachers, Effective Instruction and focusing on Every Child
The target outcomes of our model on an App:
Increase access to high quality 21st century education
Reduce the cost of resources
Reduce environmental impact
Improve teaching instruction
Extend the ability to share and analyse student progress
Improve student academic performance
Improve the digital literacy of children in rural and remote schools
collate the number of schools that sign up to one or more of our 6C domains and their geographical location
Financial analysis to compare the price schools currently pay for educational resources vs our model on an app - Increase access to high quality 21st century education
Number of students meeting the national minimum standard in the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) before and after the implementation of our programs (over a number of years).
- Improve student academic performance
Comparison of the percentage of students using technology in the classroom daily prior to implementation of our 6C Education Model on an App vs Percentage of students using technology daily in class after implementing 6C Education Model on an App. - Improve the digital literacy of children in rural and remote schools

Our model is unique as it is designed to be delivered in any school, and can be tailored to the school’s specific needs. Schools may adopt one or many of the six domains and elements within them depending on their need. The App provides a personalised learning environment, tailored to meet the needs of each school and its students.
Our model is unique in addressing the challenges faced by many rural, remote and disadvantaged schools including attracting and retaining quality teachers, internet connectivity issues and consistently delivering effective instruction underpinned by quality educational programs and resources.
Our 6C Education Model App acts as a tool to facilitate the effective teaching and interaction between students, their learning content and their teachers. It is a medium for sharing information, providing platforms for learning, discussion, feedback and forward-planning.
The Application can be accessed via mobile or tablet devices. The application will be loaded onto devices and will be able to be used in rural areas and areas where internet connection is intermittent.

We are a not-for-profit organisation with multiple funding streams (philanthropic, federal government, state government, fee for service). We receive repeat funding due to our proven education model.
We design each domain of our 6C Education Model with a strong curriculum, content knowledge and evidence based teaching and learning practices. Once built, they become sustainable as they provide disadvantaged schools with affordable access to high quality education they neither have the time or resources to develop themselves.
We also provide school implementation support on a fee basis which focuses on training and coaching teams to ensure they deliver with fidelity and continuously improve. Any margin in fees is ploughed back into continuous improvement of the 6C Education Model ensuring their sustainability.
Need for technology partners with relevant experience who can assist us to harness innovative technology to scale our proven education model.
