Sustainable Aerator

The creation of herds is essential for the economic and social development of several countries, it's estimated that about 150 million families in the world are involved in milk production.

The creation of livestock for subsistence is a reality of several unexplored communities in emerging countries, which the technological incentives could become the economic independence of thousands of families. One of the main factors that prevent the increase in the production of these creations is the lack of adequate measures with water and animal welfare.

To solve this problem, we developed a wind turbine that must be present in the water reservoir of the animals outdoors, the structure has the function of replenishing the oxygen eliminating anaerobic bacteria, raising the PH, moving to the water avoiding the proliferation of larvae and conserve water quality by avoiding waste, thus delivering welfare to the animals that directly influence production.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, in the world there are about 150 million families that survive on the basis of milk production from herds, but who are unable to have a high profitability and production to transform their creations into entrepreneurial actions and have economic stability.

Although the continents of Asia, Africa and America have the largest collections of dairy animals, only Asia stands out in production, showing that developing countries, even with a much larger number of animals and an annual production increase of 3-5%, fail to reach developed countries, a situation that could change with the exploitation of small farmers.

One of the main factors that prevent the high production of small farmers is the lack of adequate measures with regard to health, well-being and water quality, considering that investments in Europe in these same aspects have managed to demonstrate an increase of 1.3% in the continent's milk production from 2016 to 2017.

In developing countries, mainly Brazil, public policies and investments in the area of agriculture are a way of increasing the competitiveness of the economic sector and curbing the high rates of poverty in unexplored rural communities.

Sustainable Aerator is a mechanical resource for communities unexplored country has production and quality of milk enough to turn your creations of cattle into a lucrative business and thus get out of poverty rates.

The solution is divided into two parts, the first is a long-lasting wind mechanism that must be present in the water reservoir of the animals outdoors, the structure has the functions of replenishing oxygen by eliminating anaerobic bacteria and moving water to prevent proliferation of larvae as Aedes aegypti. These resources conserve the quality of water for animal consumption and avoid waste, given that most communities do not have easy access to water. The structure directly influences the production of milk, which has a composition of 87% of the water consumed by the animal.

In the second part of the solution are the tablets for increasing the pH of the water, considering that this is an expressive factor in the quality of life and production of the animals, in addition to avoiding diseases related to acidity.

The first prototype of the solution was produced from discarded materials and the cost was equivalent to $20 dollars (US dollars).

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the Sustainable aerator was created with the purpose of that rural community unexplored have production and quality enough milk to make their creations of cattle into a lucrative business and thus get out of poverty rates that make the reality of thousands of concentrated families developing countries.

              The lack of technology and investments is what marks rural production. Communities often have a situation so great will of poverty, not pos s ho easy access to water, causing the animals need to survive with the intake water aged and open the proliferation of microorganisms, but another factor worrying is that this consumption affects negatively the quality of production that further increases the economic instability of rural communities, which leads to insecurities even in the factors of subsistence.

To reach our development, we heard the concerns of herdsmen in our region, which in the country is the one that suffers the most from lack of water and has livelihoods. The project has mainly a social objective, because of that, in the future, the objective is to accompany the economic and entrepreneurial development of these poor communities to abolish the subsistence situation.
