Mexico: 46.2% lives in poverty, 40.5% has no Internet, and 13% of elementary students graduate college.
Traditional education in Mexico is relatively poor in experience offered, affordability, and preparation of youth for the real-world. Through analysis over 10+ years and consideration of cultural and social factors, Bedu’s founders identified an incredible market opportunity- offering quality blended education.
Why? Pure online education has a 90% desertion rate. And technology is not enough. Human connection and integration of learning is especially relevant in developing countries. The millennial generation values engagement, flexibility, affordability and practical skills for work and life success.
In 10+ years creating content and operating edtech centers, we have learned about underserved people’s needs and successful education implementation through Bedu’s parent company Enova. We have had a positive impact on 1.5 million Mexicans. Through Bedu, we aim to impact millions more lives in Latin America, and scale our effective and engaging solution to the world.
Bedu’s courses have a consistent, high satisfaction score : 8.4 Net Promoter Score (industry average of 6 in education). Our feedback from 250 students has encouraged continuous improvements in UX and overall experience. We follow exponential organization methodologies.
People in urban settings between the ages of 18-35 most benefit from Bedu’s entrepreneurial and technology courses. We are the only blended learning platform with an exponential model that has validated its product-market fit. After years of working with blended learning to achieve demonstrable learning outcomes, we created an exponential model that seeks to scale what many companies believe is really hard: quality clases. We have the judgement to understand when technology will provide the best solutions, and when a human interaction is irreplaceable.
First, ensuring a human-centered approach with a rigorous approach to match skills people believe they need to excel in the workplace with current and future needs the workplace demands. Then, translation and identification of needed skills to be reflected in our education products, which reflect skill obtainment through technology and in-person class learning. The aim? To best prepare youth with technical/personal skills that adapt transferability to various industries. The technology platform we use takes into account an excellent UX experience, quality content, and an engaging, interactive tests to best communicate and experience learning of key concepts.
We offer the Ideal combination of technology and human-centered connection and learning in the classroom. Our operations team runs a tight ship to ensure quality and scalability of our exponential model which includes identification and management of spaces, experts who teach material, content creation and adaptation, and continual technological improvements and innovation.
